I've changed strategy, focused on defense rushing armor and a bit of healing and then finally conquered a dungeon. It's nothing like before where you could finish low-level dungeons with two random characters wielding clubs.
All roads lead to Rome.
In my opinion, dodging attacks is simply... cheaper and less of a grind. Especially since higher difficulty dungeons (starting from those groves with ants and centipedes) can really end ill prepared party in but few turns.
I mean, I got past the game with random poor quaity armors obtained from treasure chests and quests and dodge focused MC. Once you get rogue and obtain assassin, game changes dramatically.
What's more important are high damage weapons. Game is turned based, so it's very important to kill enemies ASAP, because each dead foe means one attack less to harm you.
But enjoy the struggle when you can.
Currently I have like 90% of classes on my character, with hand-made legendary gear. I am the ultimate boss there. Dodging almost every attack in heavy armor, shrugging those which managed to hit me for like 5 damage, while hitting easily for above 1k damage. It's boring.
