Let me try a different approach here: This is a forum,. not a guarantee to find an answer like an encyclopedia. If you ask something and dont get an answer to it in 'due' time, there are usually 2 reasons why. Number 1 is nobody actually has an answer to it and a forum thrives on people not spamming 'i dont know'. Number 2 is that your quesion might be badly phrased and nobody gets the point you want answered and thinks they dont know.
My personal advice: Instead of lashing out against others here and claiming to be ignored (we have actual buttons to do that), maybe consider using a fraction of the time and playing further and finding the answer yourself![]()
Oh wow, thanks for the lesson in the utility of a forum. So... let me correct you on a few things, sensei:
1. "Let me try a different approach here" - the best and most effective approach would have been to simply give me the info that i required. But i guess you don`t know the answer to what i`m asking, you just feel the need to...what? Hear yourself talking and giving other people advice on how to use a forum? Are you the forum police or something?
2. Yes, you are right and i agree, a forum thrives on people not spamming 'i dont know'. It also thrives on people answering questions and replying to other peoples posts when they actually have an answer to that question/post or something RELEVANT to say, not some random unrelated and tangential ramblings. I would pretty much prefer getting no answers at all than stupid and unrelated ones to my questions or posts, just piling on top of my post and making my post harder to be found which makes my question/s even harder to be seen and answered by someone who actually knows what he`s talking about, right? That`s also just spam, right? And by your own words, a forum thrives when idiots are not spamming the forum with random unrelated and tangential ramblings, right? To be completely honest, spam is what i consider your post to be, in relation to both my original and latest posts. But i have some free time, i don`t mind writing back, no harm done in talking, at least i`m on topic. Right!?
3. What do you find so confusing or badly phrased in: "What should i do, recruit her or reinstate her as head of the guild? I`ve left her hanging and didn`t finish the quest where i`m supposed to buy her from the guild so i`m kinda anxious for an answer to this question." ? I think this question cannot be more simpler, or dumbed down, no matter how you look at it. If someone (that actually played this game and reached the point/quest i`m talking about, afterall we are on this game`s forum, not on some random one) really can`t understand this question, then i believe that they really are as dumb as shit and i wonder how they can actually read or post here. Or function as a human being. Or even if they should be alive, and allowed to propagate their species.
4. If anyone else played past this point(like you suggest me to do), then that anyone must have at least an opinion about the route or choice they picked. Unlike from an encyclopedia, i`m just asking for that, their opinion about the route/choice they picked, at the minimum. You really think i`m asking for too much? 10 days have passed since the first time i asked this question, can nobody here answer this? Has no one else played past this point? 6 years of development and people playing this game, can nobody offer an opinion or suggestion related to my question, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!? So your 2 reasons why i didn`t get an answer are kinda null, i suggest you add a nr. 3 and a nr. 4 to your list. Nr. 3 is that this forum is as dead as the wiki page, like i previously said. In 10 days there have been 5 posts, excluding my own. "pathetic" and "deplorable" do describe this situation. And nr. 4 is that i AM actually ignored, not just claiming to be. So i`ll just light a little fire, people are guaranteed to react and respond, like you did. Maybe, hopefully, someone with a bigger heart (and more knowledge) than you will notice, understand my plight and answer my question. And i will quietly go away and play the game, like i actually want to do, instead of skinning people alive here for a pretty easy (and inevitable - gameplay wise) answer. Or maybe someone will update the wiki page, then i won`t have to come here at all. I still have hope, i still believe in humanity. Just not in some people that have random, unrelated, tangential or stating-the-obvious-but-missing-the-point answers like the statement "Its also trivial to have a character who can pick locks and never fails by the time your characters are even moderately developed so chests being locked or not is only relevant to gameplay for a fairly short period." as a response to my post, when i was asking something COMPLETELY different. I would pretty much prefer if this kind of people would find that ignore button you were talking about and just ignore my posts. No grudge held against them for this.
5. One of the things i hate the most in a game is realizing i made the wrong choice or took the wrong path with a character, a situation that voids days or weeks of playing. The same reason why a very good friend of mine quit playing Baldurs Gate 3 at act 3, after being glued to the game for weeks and praising it. At the moment i still have stuff to do in the game, i`m not that pressed to make a choice right this moment, i can still wait for an answer here, so thanks for your advice, but no thanks.
6. NEXT PERSON, PLEASE! I`m done with this 2 fools from before!
