You start the game as a Male, but going down a certain route, and you get body swapped into a female friend, assuming this is the same game I played years ago.

a couple years ago I thought this game could only get better... I was wrong. It is so boring now. I end up skipping through it because the dialog puts me to sleep only to come to endless dead ends. I had high hopes for this one and didn't even get a single fap in after years of development. big thumbs down.

Student Transfer v4 has increased the word count from 350k to about 600k, so a bit less than double.
To the people coming here for the sex-scenes only, yes you will likely be disappointed and the game is probably not for you. ST was never meant to be a sex-focused VN and it likely never will be.
For everyone who gets the MemoryError: There is nothing we can do from our side to resolve this. Student Transfer is a massive game and it requires a large amount of RAM. Since phones generally tend to have very little RAM (unless you have a pretty recent one), it is likely that you will run into MemoryErrors along the way. Try freeing as much RAM as possible and starting the game again. If it still does not work, your phone does not fulfill the minimum RAM requirements that Student Transfer needs to run.

We have issued a very tiny update for the Android build, because as it turns out the game itself was fine but one of our dependencies had a very unoptimised way of reading data, which led to the high memory consumption on Android devices.
We have fixed this now by switching to a different package.

what are you talking about? This was totally a sex focused vn before... and it was awesome! but now it's like the dev said fuck you to all the people who liked it and started writing a bunch of shit no one cares about. This game used to have an interesting plot with many interesting sexual endeavors for the mc to get into. it kept you on the edge of your seat (and the edge of... the O face?) but now it's so dry and sexually devoid that I want to fall asleep. You say it was never meant to be a sex-focused vn... I call bullshit.
Also...
Why would you erase a bunch of scenes that were really good??? There was so much more to this game before... It's like you switched genders and are now a fucking feminist that thinks they are a novelist. I probably will never play this game again and will not suggest it to other people... So disappointed...

You are very much free to do so. That does not change the reality of the situation however. Student Transfer is focused on TG, body swaps and MC, and that does not necessarily require sex. We have always been focused on the plot more than the few-and-far-between sex scenes, and we will likely continue down this road in the future. Of course the amount of new sex stuff depends heavily on what the featured path for each update is, and this time around it just so happened to be one with less of it. Next time around it might be different. We don't yet know and neither do you.

I don't comment much, if ever, but I gotta say I really like how the TG is narrated in this. It seems like every single TG/Gender Bender is done... almost in a homosexual way. "Oh my I've turned into a girl! Now my best friend is crazy attractive and I love the feeling of his dick inside me. But I'm a guy isn't this wrong?" Which is great, if that's your jam, but it's not for me. At all. I avoided this game for a long time specifically because of how prominent that trope is. Heck I even skipped most of the text on my first trip through in a rush to get my grubby mitts on some CG.
It wasn't until Rachel's route that I started reading. Then I revisited other routes and started skimming. Mina's route is what pushed me over to completely restart and read everything. The sort of existential crisis bit is what sold me. I won't go any farther to avoid spoilers, etc but it stuck with me. I've really enjoyed Kyoko's route and the "Cornelia situation" route. Pretty humorous. I don't think I've ever laughed at a "porn game" before. Kudos. All of that praise isn't to sleep on the other routes, they're all very well written, but those are what really stuck out to me.
I seem to be in a vast minority when it comes to this VN, though I'm usually in the minority because I'm a filthy contrarian. Too often these projects are: campy dialogue into predictable setups then CG CG campy dialogue CG CG. Next to no story and if there is a story it's so contrived or poorly written/translated that it isn't enjoyable. I'd liken most of these "VNs" to acted pornography. Cheesy but the story isn't the point, the boobies are. That isn't the case for this game and I'm very glad. When a person actively stops wanking to focus on reading what's written is a good sign for a Visual Novel. It's also been a long time since I've read a VN, including romance oriented VNs, that was entertaining. They also regularly fall into the common Anime tropes and it's a snoozer. I think Fate Stay and... Period were the last ones I genuinely enjoyed reading and those are kind of dated.
I just wanted to put out there that I enjoy the direction the game is going. I don't mind the "lack" of CGs (there's plenty and I've only found like half), sex scenes, etc at all. Pent up teenagers is all I see in some of the complainer's messages. It's a shame they're too focused on getting their nut.
