The feet need to be redrawn. They look very strange and certainly not very attractive.

I wonder why you decided to switch to hand-drawn pictures. You will spend a fortune making them and people will still complain that there are not enough of them. Also, now they don't make a game to stand out the way it used to be before neural networks. Not mentioning, that artists usually cannot produce them as fast as needed.

Personally, I think you already had a pretty good concept with beautiful characters when you used 3d art (well, some of them could have been improved, to be fair). You just needed a good story and interesting game mechanics to make a successful game. Now you spent two more years to prepare to launch your game. You are walking a dangerous path that killed many potentially good games (and not only them) - years are spent to prepare and finally a project is given up since there is no more passion, no more time, other interests, promotions, children, etc.

True but you are also probably never going to see the feet in the game so it was not something I was really worried about.

So it was several reason why I switched. It was actually my original plan but when I shopped around for artist they were asking for way more than I could afford so I just went with Daz instead. The wall I ran into with daz is a lot of the costumes are all over the place and trying to make any alterations to them is a pain. Yes there are injustice costumes, and yes there are arkham costumes and then animated series costumes but they don't really mix well together and all the modern designs are made to be as sexually unappealing as possible so I didn't even like most of them.

I tried to go the AI route but honestly I suck at it and I still think it is a few years away from getting where I would want it to be. Someone offered to do AI stuff but he then ghosted me.

Originally I had brought someone on to do the coding and we were going to make this in Unity. I went through 3 other people all of whom just dropped out or started ghosting me. So I started doing the coding. Eventually I saved up a little bit of money and wanted to hire someone to take some of the workload. But I figured since I'm going to hire someone why not hire an artist instead and then I can just do the coding. So I did

Hello.

Thought I would just give a little bit of an update on where we are at in the game.

So the CGs are most of what we have left to do. Art takes time so it will be done when it is done.

Firstly do not use SasakiHiro to build your GUI he will take your money, leave you with nothing that you can use and waist several months of your time and tell you job well done. (Yes I am bitter.)

Because of that I am having to build a lot of the base building and GUI from scratch (again) so I'm trying to do that. But I have currently implemented a default outfit system. So whenever you select an outfit, hair, clothes, what have you, it will remember it. So if then you go on a mission and change clothes once the mission is done it can reset to default. I am currently working on expanding that so that you can have a set casual outfit, gym outfit, sleep outfit, and so on.

I have the base layout done, and am working on developing the code for the 3 part day cycle. The plan is in the morning you will set the tasks you want to do during the day. then you carry out said tasks and have random events happen that you then play out. Then at the end of that is the night portion where you can go around and talk to people.

The hope is several fold. One I hate games that say things like met person x at 10 but you can do something that either one jumps you from 9 to 11 or worse 10:30 and now you missed it. or just forget about it all together. Or worse you can only do something on Tuesday but that was 20 minutes ago gameplay wise you forgot so now it's Wednesday and you have to wait another week.

This system, in theory, will give you a list of all things you could potentially do today. You then select what you want done. (Better stats means you can select more things). Ideally there will be some sort of color indicators if a task is main quest or side quest.

It's funny in a way. The quest system is easy. Making a quest journal for the player to follow, now that is hard. Thank you Rich for pointing out the obvious mistake I made that had me bashing my head against a wall for over a week trying to figure out what the problem was. I love you man.

Once that is done I will work on developing the stat system. That is honestly what is going to take the most time and I am more than a little scared. I fear it is going to be beyond my capabilities. The hope is that as you increase your stats you will be able to unlock new abelites and skills that will then be able to use during gameplay both with the corruption of heroes as well as other events that may happen.

I have 3 different google docs right now trying to make sure I keep all of this organized.

I will probably re-release the demo soon with all the updates so you can at least see the progress that has been made.

So until then, thank you all very much. And look forward to more soon.

Hello there!
I know I mentioned before that I could do additional work before, but at the moment I’m no longer available to take on new tasks (Sincerely sorry for that). The request you mentioned is also outside the scope of the previous invoice since my Forum is not available at that time until now. Thanks for understanding.

"take your money, leave you with nothing".
- I always confirm all the design before coding it in renpy. Here's my sample for the last work before I considered it finished based on the month of no feedback.

"Firstly do not use SasakiHiro to build your GUI he will take your money"
- Please check my rating in my forum for the best feedback for other user to me, Maybe sometimes It did not reach the requirement or quality for certain user but I delivered it based on the agreements. That's why I sometimes do a free revision for draft UI, and a Cheap Price with commercial license.

Hello there!
"take your money, leave you with nothing".
You are blatantly misquoting me here which should be a sign to anyone reading this. I never said you gave me nothing I said you gave me nothing I can use.

See for as nice as your stuff is, it is worthless if it's not used for everything. So all the other menus and stuff dont have your art design so I now have to make new art for everything. So I can't use it.

The code you gave me is broken in places and I can't figure it out to fix it. Several of the menus and stuff that you made were never how I wanted and did not work as intended. Leaving me with little option but to scrap it all and start over. You never made the skill menu despite saying you would.

From the beginning I was very clear with what I was wanting. I sent you an entire design doc going over the different systems. You never once told me that what I was asking for was outside what you were willing to do. So I was working with you under the assumption that you would do everything i was asking for. If you had told me you were only willing to do some of it that would have vastly changed what I asked you to do.

All of this i said to you the other day.

I never said you didn't do good work in the past all I said was that you screwed me over. The fact that everyone vouched for you was why I was willing to give you a second chance after you ghosted me for months the first time I came to you.

I am also starting to wonder if you think a GUI is just the art side of things. It is not. A GUI is the entire system. So when you say you will do a GUI you are saying you will do the entire system.

But if you are going to use your reviews as a shield against criticism then I guess I will have to leave one. Something i was not planning on doing until right now.
