Really? I didn't see anything on Patreon about the artist getting injured or revised timeline. Only heard about it here.

Also, it's not a big deal that the artist got injured. Shit happens. Hope he/she recovers quickly. However, you should communicate clearly with your supporters. Not everyone uses discord.

I've supported SC for several months. First in 2020, but then you took away the animation, so I stopped. I played Chapter 4 and thought it was great and decided to support again.

I think the people who don't use discord are a minority.

Regardless of that, I shared the news on patreon. If they didn't knew on discord, they will do now.

Getting hurt by drawing.. it just sound so weak and silly. But ofc, injuries can happened by the smallest most "safe" things as well as the more "manly" accidents. Hell.. I even hurt my arm throwing to many snowballs in my younger days xD Humans are to weak and brittle, maybe we do all deserve just to be succubus feed afterall
If I where to get a permanent injurie, I rather it not be a bullet hole in my eye, but an arm injurie while drawing boobies, now that's a badge of honor!

Typing and drawing can lead to severe problems and injuries.

My uncle can't close his hand anymore. He typed the entire day for his work.

Hopefully V will recover and take it easy from now on.

Like I said above, the worse part of these injuries is that they simply happen.

One day you are drawing, the next day you are in severe pain.

You can getting hurt in all sorts of activities. You should try it and hold a pen for hours after hours each day. It may not be a big thing for several weeks but at some point your own body tells you to fuck off and shows you where the line is.

If people even manage to hurt themselves while having sex there's no limit to what else can end in pain.

You're assuming I said something bad. I'm not blaming them, I'm blaming Zion because it is his fault for overworking the artists... TWICE. Not just this but a overall terrible work flow (Spending like a year on animations then canceling them n multiple other delays, definetly not whoever animated fault). I did suggest before that he could hire multiple artists to work on the game and perhaps focus his backing on finishing the initial game, instead he did the exact same thing he did with kain and now V's also injured. Poor V if anything, not his fault at all.

The logical solution here after the second injury is to bring on maybe one or two more people to split the work up. Have Kain/V do some art, and then have maybe the two newbies do colouring. Sure, the first handful of months will be slow, but that's short-term. A smooth operation requires time to adjust. Maybe not exactly like this but logically speaking he has to hire more artists, not split them into different projects. Zion can't handle one, let alone 3 at the same time.

The other issue is Zion has zero perspective on the scope of his project, and the amount of work he wants done every quarter. For a team with more people (like 62studio for example) it already takes about 1-1.5 years to finish a game, art and all. This is 2-3 people, and the fact that Zion wants to do what, 20 games? That's unrealistic at their current pace. The series will die before they make it to the second era at this rate.

Zion needs a full team to manage things, but he'll deflect because he doesn't want to accept criticism. He won't even accept that he did something wrong in the first place.

While not an artist myself I do write dialogue, story, and playtest for several indie games in my spare time. I don't get paid for this, I do it out of enjoyment. The only way a dev can get me to work harder is to ask me nicely. Even if they offered to pay me, I would still be in control of my own schedule. It is my responsibility to set my own pace and to ensure that the content I create for others doesn't get in the way of my own health, friendships, and my day job.


As for those who produce content full time as their day job, it is still their responsibility to look after their own health. I really can't say more than that since I myself am not in that situation.

Most have their own patreon, carriers, are extremely expensive, etc.

My team is great. The reason why you are complaining is because I'm releasing the game by chapters, while most developers spend years developing and drop a full game, so the delays aren't known.

And your points are all wrong. Most games only have 2 images per girl. Standing and sex. We have 3. Which is more than the majority of games.

This game overall has 6-7 months for each update and updates have like 3-4 hours of gameplay which is higher than the average.

Most hentai games last 3 hours. One chapter of SC alone lasts that.

Long hentai games last 10 hours, like ROBF. Meanwhile, an incomplete SC had people playing for over 15 hours.

For me I think its 5-6 and I took my time. Felt a little bit short compared to chapater 3. But again, zion mentioned that it was extreamly long.
