Shit, and I almost thought this was a stealth update or something. By the way, resident lurker of Zion's Discord here. I haven't really given him the benefit of the doubt in quite a while. His 'monthly' updates are just polls for deciding on the "next succubus" with a completed art still for each of them and locked behind a paywall(some behind the $50 paywall), so I just wait until someone posts his still updates for free. Also, outside of said polls the only time we get pings in his server is when bots or scammers show up to spam a link in every channel before being banned. Because they allow anyone to global ping.
First it was the artist change. Then another artist change. I can't even recall how many artist changes we have now. Pretty sure I remember two of them were for the same claimed reason, an injured hand. Then we had Warlock Saga. Then we had him releasing the grindfest that was the robot girl game as Kainkout's last hurrah doing art for him. Now we have Succubus Chronicles. I haven't bothered to touch it but I looked at the pictures folder and it looks like it has future tech stuff in it. Hey, remember when Zion said he wanted to make this series several games long, with each game focusing on a different era and a different Clan? Not that I don't appreciate all the extra stuff but the Beast Clan, the Insect Clan, the Shadow Knife Clan, all kind of bled into this when it was supposed to be a more primitive setting focusing on the Plant Clan. Which felt like he was running out of ideas for the Plants. Now, just looking at the pictures, we're getting a future tech setting with just various Clans involved? Because I saw more than Plant in the new stuff. And why are we getting a future tech setting as a side game? Going by his original vision shouldn't it be a distant mainline game instead?
But hey he gets over three grand a month on Patreon plus whatever he made off of Eden Crest so it's good, right? Surely continuing to support the creator will definitely start producing faster results any day now.
