I honestly don't use Knockoff correctly, but I mandate its use in any deck that lives or dies by their Partner.
Nah, the trick in this deck is to either reuse it on Student with the extra SoWaDs (I literally never use the mill 5 because it's actually very mediocre) or to refresh SoWaD after using Student's partner ability to win. I'm not sure how valuable the Knockoffs actually are in other decks tbh.
I think Recycle goes against the gameplan of SoWaD decks, as it's more valuable to draw fresh playmakers then recycle old ones.
Well, SoWaD doesn't really care about what you do with your hand or graveyard. And generally speaking, SoWaD and Student in general mills and discards so much that imo being able to reuse your graveyard is particularly valuable. I don't see how it would go against the gameplan under most situations. Tbh, I honestly think that's supposed to be the intent of these three in general, it's just done very poorly.
As for this deck, Recycle is important because it means you can Recycle for Knockoff to refresh SoWaD if you empty your deck fast enough. Sure it's 2 extra mana, but being able to use Knockoffs recklessly is pretty nice and it means you have more room to choose better cards with Student's partner ability
Looking at your deck... Why the Libraries? You're not running Mutual Destruction or Last Will, so they're basically dead cards UNLESS you're in a mirror match with another SoWaD turbo... and in that instance, you'd want more health cards to survive the double assault as the AI helps you mill.
Because this is trying to empty the deck as fast as possible, I find you don't need too much more life gain than Vitamin Supplements. Actually, because I'm milling so much with the Student partner ability (this ability really is the star of this deck and is probably the most important thing in the deck), The libraries act similar to flock of goats in other decks, or to Tenacle Trap. However, unlike either of those, the best part about the libraries is I never spend mana for them, which gives more room for doing other stuff. I don't actually need to run a card like Mutual Destruction or Last Will with them because again, costs mana, and I can probably draw past them with Student
I'd also finger Big Breasts as not pulling its weight, and recommend you replace them with Hand Tickets or Ritual Prep for extra consistency
This much is true, though, mostly because I replaced Ritual Prep with Purification. I think the Big Breasts are good with Ritual Prep in the deck (because Nun's BB ability discounts more cards more often), but I was starting to get annoyed with putting sometimes otherwise mediocre cards on the top of my deck and would've rather Purification for better matchups (or even just Religious Effigy, unironically). I think Big Breasts might make more sense if I replace Nun with Milk Demon. That said, I won't play Peaceful Submission because, again, I don't need the life gain when I'm this focused on the turbo gameplan
I also find the Return to your Maker tech with non-partnered SoWaD to be too slow and clunky to make proper use of, since extra SoWaDs are quite dangerous to deploy regardless.
The Returns are just extra catch-all cards since I have extra space in the deck. They can probably be replaced with anything tbh. Though I do think the extra SoWaDs are necessaryh to deploy because using Student's partner ability as many times as possible is that important
