Hey all - Just a lil information about how to play the game and how this differs from the original Sukhon Sumporn versions up to 1.19. (
I originally posted the following in the Seven Sisters thread, and I in part paraphrase a post from the dev, Slingbang.)
Regarding playing Sukhon Reloaded - This is basically a mod to Sukhon at the moment so the game starts the exact same. Finish the first day, go to the night market, pass the help dialogue and press Enter. This should give you a 15% share in the club and allow you to hire your first worker from the nightclub menu. You basically play each hire as a NewGame+, but you can switch between them and Sukhon at any time (and Sukhon gets commission for their work). This offers 6 different gender identities for your hires, so lots of content for folks who like that. With that being said, the core gameplay loop is still classic Sukhon, for better or for worse. SlingBang seems to be using this "modding" approach as a way to develop ideas before going all in on anything.
For anyone who has played the classic Sukhon and is looking for the new content, I'd recommend using the above strategy to skip ahead to where you can hire your first worker, which is the new content in the game.
This update does kind of break money for the Sukhon campaign, as getting paid via commission makes it very easy to get rich, but I found it to be enough that it was worth revisiting the game.
Alright, I downloaded it, nope, no gay content. Just trans. I wish people would learn how to tag.
I think the tagging was a good faith effort by Rance, given my description of the content, so this is my bad. There is some gay content in the game, but it is somewhat limited and hard to access-
After doing what I described above to get to the "hiring" phase, you get the chance of hiring one randomly generated "worker" each day (once you hire them, you can play as them). When rolling one of these workers, they can have one of six assigned genders. In the code, these are listed as:
"Female (vagina only)","Futa (vagina and penis)","Hermaph (vagina, penis, and balls)","Ladyboi (penis, balls and breasts)","Gayboi (penis and balls)","Neuter (penis only)"
Now, what I hadn't realized is that the odds of rolling the two "male" genders (Gayboi and Neuter) are relatively low - 10% and 5%, respectively. The other thing is that even if you do roll a male, they will still be crossdressing and wearing the standard set of costumes available in the game. Personally, I managed to roll a male worker after about 10 days of playing as Sukhon and simply skipping all sex interactions, and I'll provide some screenshots so you can decide if this fits your needs. I was looking into making a "Extra Gay Edition" where male hires are much more common, but I unfortunately cannot edit the file which contains the odds when rolling a new worker, so it is looking to be a relatively complex change.
Lastly, SlingBang's implementation of the gay content is a little half-assed, admittedly. For example, you'll see incorrect pronouns as well as a sex level listing of "vaginal" in the below screenshots, and the classic female Sukhon avatar in the text boxes when the worker talks. When I played though, I did not get requests for vaginal sex, and the breast size was automatically set to "very small", although they're still pretty chesty for a man. If you invest in the "God of Transvestites" path at the temple, you can unlock some extra gay-oriented content like your worker ejaculating from anal or being stroked by the customer.
Why are the graphics so bad?
I think the "realistic" 3D renders used in the vast majority of the popular games on this site are horrifyingly uncanny-valley. Although I respect the time and effort people put in to create these works, they're just not for me. Why not try a good ol' fashioned "abstract" H game? I also think the strength of this game is the surprisingly deep sandbox gameplay and the strong scenario concept.
