VN - Ren'Py - Summer Heat [v0.5.1] [Naughty Fox Games]

Gorgeous art. Top tier really. The main girls are all great. The tease so far has been really erotic, just little moments that most games miss like a certain lead girl putting the MCs hand on her throat.

The main negatives for me like many games like this is that I don't expect it to get a harem ending.

What's there so far is great. Really worth playing. Especially once V.0.6.1 is live, by that point and beyond there should be enough content for all of the lead characters to be worth it for anyone.

Probably one of my favorite games out there right now. The weird thing is, I can't quite put my finger on it, why or how it happened.

But what I can tell is:

All the girls are likable and interesting in their own way.
Love the setting and story
Love the dialogues.
Love the renders.

excellent game with very good looking girls, and an interesting plotline. The main "negative" I would say is that the first day is so much full of events, that it could have encompassed more than one day... but is that really a negative point?
from the developpment time view, surely, but from the player side, it's all good.

Renders are awesome, probably one of the bests ive ever played, the details on every scene is great, face expressions and clothing done nicely.

Story: 5/5
The story is good and one of the games that i really care about it, other games i tend to go past them a little faster.

Models: 5/5
I like them very much, i appreciate that not EVERY girl have big boobs and asses, some have more than the others and that makes it more realistic, i like the variations on them.

Content: 5/5
Im a big fan of the content in phones and stuff, having convos, gallery, dating apps makes the game world more alive than without it.


Cons: Still not much lewd content, will be better as new versions come, but still would be good to have more for the versions.

Definitely a game to keep an eye on if you didnt still, have a lot of potential to be one of the greats!

So starting of I noticed one thing when playing this game it has And I'm not kidding about this statement "ONE OF THE BEST RENDERS" in all of the AVN's out there to the point I could say that it is likely to be compared to reality at this point. Like HOLY shite this game is FUCKING great down to the graphics, characters and plot and I fucking kid you not can't believe my very eyes this shit gooder than BaDik. Like how BaDIK conveys reality in a normal college setting is kinda off but here though SHITE don't get me started on this cause I have a lot and I mean a lot of great things I can say about this.... And it clearly states some of the minor details but in my opinion Major details since most AVN's don't add some of these, down to how the other girls feel for every interaction you do to other girls. Like them being jealous, etc etc. And the details of every sound you hear in everyday life the rustling of the train chair and when you walk in gravel and the ambience of you're environment this is why I stated that this game is likely to be compared to reality because the details they give out are top notch. I do highly recommend this game if you want the experience I'm not spoiling you in some of the major scenes in the storyline. one problem I encountered though It kinda sucked the gameplay ended quickly, now I'm just waiting another year or two to fully see the potential this game can deliver.

Pros:
+ Beautiful renders and character models
+ Some of the best facial close ups and expressions of any visual novel

+ Intriguing story presented very well

The preview pictures don't really do the game justice. This game has some of the most beautiful renders out there among visual novels. Most of the characters seem pretty likeable. The attention to detail is also very nice. You can see some characters visually pleased or upset, even jealous at your interactions with other characters based on your choices.

The story pacing is good and there are possible subtle hints, in dialogue or shown visually, of what the main story conflict is all about. There's a slight build up of something possibly unsettling going on and it feels fairly well done. The overall narration and progression pace are all on point.

This is definitely one to keep an eye on for future updates. It deserves more attention for sure. Check it out if you have time and support the developers!

This is a top-tier game -- a gem that doesn't seem to be as "visible" on the site as other AAA titles, but is deserving of the same attention. The production value is extremely high with beautiful girls, renders and animations. The game seems to really enjoy toeing the line between naive innocence of some characters and smutty interactions with others.

Premise: Male MC is off to art school summer camp with a bunch of (mainly female) co-eds in a remote, woodsy location. Interesting settings and side characters emerge to add color to the story.

The Good ()

• High production value -- the game just looks great
• Gorgeous, hyper-detailed models and renders
• A diversity of love interests with different personalities, body types and kinks
• You can pursue multiple love interests without excluding the others (so far) -- but it isn't a harem game
• Well-executed cinematography and visual storytelling
• Charged, erotic H-scenes with smooth, seamless animation

The Not-So-Good ()

• Somewhat infrequent updates - averaging 4 / year over the game's development
• The reactions of LIs in certain scenes suggest you may be closing off certain paths in the story based on choices, but it doesn't seem to actually have that effect
• The MC initially appears quite innocent and naive himself but quickly turns out to be an experienced stud -- breaks some of the immersion
• After 2+ years in development, the story is still in the early stages, which suggests many years of development timeline to come.

Overall, an outstanding title with a lot of content and beautiful character models. Can't go wrong.

This is by far the best graphics i've ever seen in a VN. The skin is very detailed and it makes the characters looks real. Their eyes are crazy, you can feel their emotions just by the expression on their face. Good job dev!

Impressive visuals complemented by fitting sound design. The storyline holds up well without any major flaws. The female characters are particularly endearing. Overall, I find this game to be quite enjoyable; it's quickly becoming one of my favorites. Looking forward to future updates with fresh content. Keep up the excellent work!

so far so good. its early to tell and the 5th chapter was definetly the longest and best chaptar so far, but this game def has potential. i give it 5 stars because i know its def one of the best ive played so far. recommended for sure.

Some of the best renders and overall quality I've seen in an AVN. This game is on Ocean's games level of pretty and polished.

The only problem right now is the story being sort of lacking and unconvincing, but everything else hits right and I'm sure as development continues these problems will be fixed with time. Definitely will be watching the development closely and adding it to my watchlist!

I can't really go into details yet because I feel like the VN is only just starting, but keep up with the majestic work naughty Fox games. It's truly incredible what you guys have accomplished so far and I'm madly hyped to see what the future holds!

Nice renders coupled with well-fitting sounds. Story plot is also good, no objections. Very likeable female characters, too.

So far, I say it's a very good game, I like it. I'd say it's now one of my favorite RenPy games.

Nicely flowing storyline, which is why we're all here obviously! Great visuals, and I was only half joking about the story, the back and forth of the weird interactions with the probably type interactions keeps the whole thing real, I hope to see more of that.

Absolutely superb! Without question my favourite AVN in it's current iteration for a few reasons;

I play very few AVNs these days, too often they lack in character development and engaging writing that feels realistic, along the lines of a conversation that could very much take place in your day to day life. This game does not lack in that area, whatsoever. In fact, it does a really fucking good job at it. The writing is where this game truly excels, the moment to moment interactions between the cast are amazing, the dialogue is so simple, some might even consider it 'boring', but to me it's exactly what it needs to be, relatable, funny and real. Not many AVNs on par with it (BaDIK being one) and certainly none better in that department.

Renders.. Well, I've never seen any better personally, they are absolutely incredible, peak of the mountain type stuff, couldn't praise them enough.

The girls look fantastic (as does Mike of course!). Some of my favourites. Don't really need to go into any detail on this point, you can see them in the screenshots on the main page, which to be honest doesn't even do them justice... Seriously. In terms of their personalities, they're all incredibly distinct and likeable characters, each has their own flavour that'll appeal to someone, depending on your preferences, and you constantly want to be around them to discover more.

I love the slow burn nature of the game so far, it really makes the intimate scenes a lot more impactful and meaningful, one scene with Sophie in particular really tugged at my cold dead heart strings. Hopefully the devs continue on that path.

All in all, Ch1-Ch5 is an utter delight, a 10/10 experience for me. I don't really go overboard with Patreon much anymore, but with more dev time, I'll happily sub to the devs alongside a purchase of the Steam version whenever that happen. With that being said, it's pretty obvious that I'm a sucker for good writing (of which this game has in abundance), it's just as important to me as scenes, if not more so, so I might be slightly on the bias side of things, in contrast to what other people might enjoy in AVNs.

Side note: Very curious about the future tags, pregnancy being the main one. Not sure I ever thought about that being in an AVN, but with good writing I'm certainly open to the idea (with a small time skip?), hopefully nothing forced for the people who aren't as open to the idea, but definitely interesting and I look forward to seeing it's implementation! Time to start a family with Sophie or something I guess!

The girls are quite unique, renders are amazing, the story feels natural and makes sense, one of my favorites if not the favourite one.
Amazing work for a first release and I hope the devs keep up the good quality and not ruin it in the future.
The only criticism I would have is that the dating app and messages are a bit inituative and I wasn't able to determine exactly when to talk and check with people, that's only a nitpick though.

I will not make a long ass review since this game has less than 6 chapters. I'm just gonna say the good and the bad of this game. This review is also not final, it could change in the future depending on how NFG handles its narrative.

The Good
- Summer Heat's graphic is actually very spectacular. All of the characters' designs are original (kinda).
- Its gameplay is very good. Lots of new mechanics and different ways to play compared to other AVNs.
- I like the UI, not too simple and not too weird.
- It doesn't have too many sex scenes atm, but they look pretty great so far.
- The phone system is like a breath of fresh air. Kinda reminds me with BaDIK's phone system, but it lacks of apps. At least the UI is better.
- Tinder in this game is so good, sadly we couldn't meet them girls. Probably in the future.

The Bad
- MC is a little bit retarded, how the fuck this guy can enjoy around shady adults in a new environment for less than a week is very concerning. Dude can't even sense danger around him. He's 19 but he still acts like a 7 year old kid who got lured into an ice cream van.
- Mike is very, very underappreciated. I don't like the idea that he's just there as a "best friend" and not helping the MC very often and vice versa. Most MCs in every AVN have this friend who always help and stay in most conditions. BaDIK has Derek, Leap of Faith has Chris, Eternum has Chang, Race of Life has Cooper, FreshWomen has Dylan, etc and they're very useful to the MC. But, Mike is almost rendered useless in Summer Heat and he also has less dialogues compared to Miller. I expect him to be more involved in the future.
- To be honest, I don't really like how the story is going. I hope we don't get another Acting Lesson in the making, that fucking game gave me PTSD. Both Summer Heat and Acting Lesson happened because the MC is playing with fire, a fire that could've been avoided. Also, that damn "Horror" in the future tag is not helping either.
