I didn't think i'd type these words when I started playing this game but I adore Cynthia.
Yes, it's a false positive. I've packed the file myself, there is no malicious software. I have no clue what's causing this though. Didn't happen with previous versions as far as I know. It happened in the very beginning due to a custom game icon I created, had to delete it unfortunately, but this one is a new problem. I'm still trying to figure it out. It's 100% safe to unpack and play the game, but I can also understand if someone would want to wait. I hope I'll be able to fix it asap.Firefox said fuck no you can't DL this virus. Never had my browser shut a game down before. I'm assuming it's false, but I'll wait for more info.
Edit: "This file contains a virus or malware."

I don't even have Defender on...so i'm not sure what tagged it. I've got Bitdefender which seems to pick up more shit than any other AV i've ever had so maybe it did, but the warnings from bitdefender have always said it was bitdefender that grabbed it. It's W/E though i've played all the other updates til now without an issue and this game is too well reviewed/like for a dev to fuck around i think. If he is hustling us he played the long con...It's often happen with Ren'py games.
And I think only from Windows Defender, because I never malware detection in such games from Avast.
But I saw more than once people asking about malware warning from Windows Defender with various Ren'py games.
It's most likely a Firefox issue. All the false positives that have been reported so far happened within the Firefox browser after downloading it. I don't think I'll be able to fix this. I have talked to other devs regarding this issue, and many of them experienced the same problem. There is no real solution unfortunately, just hoping that it won't happen again with the next update. It sucks big time because it can have a real negative effect on the success of a small game like mine.I don't even have Defender on...so i'm not sure what tagged it. I'm glad they are finally embracing the greatness Cynthia, she is the hottest content so far.I didn't think i'd type these words when I started playing this game but I adore Cynthia.
I use LibreWolf (fork of Firefox) and Windows Defender. I got the Windows Security pop-up when downloading from Mixdrop. No complaints what so ever when downloading from gofile. I ran both URLs through virustotal. The Mixdrop link got flagged as "Malicious" by 1 vendor and as "Suspicious" by another. The gofile link had no complaints from any vendors. It's most likely a Firefox issue. All the false positives that have been reported so far happened within the Firefox browser after downloading it. You really don't need to. if people are not using download managers in this day and age and downloading gigs of data through their browser, in all honesty, being frank, that's a them issue...not a you issue.I don't think I'll be able to fix this

If you knew anything about it like you seem to think you do, you'd know it has nothing to do with connection speed.
I'm not sure what kind of connection you're forced to use, but a gig takes me about a minute (and we're not exactly on the cutting edge of network infrastructure either). Never had any issue with downloads here where a download manager would be an asset.
Her scenes are really good.I'm glad they are finally embracing the greatness Cynthia, she is the hottest content so far.![]()
It can be the ADs their hosting or some of their scripts. Do you use any addons that block those or not?I use LibreWolf (fork of Firefox) and Windows Defender. What does that mean? I've no idea other than it's probably nothing to do with just FireFox and Defender. Does that mean Mixdrop is doing shady things with the files they host? I've no idea. Is the file hosted on Mixdrop safe? I'd say probably but I went with the gofile download, why risk it.

All that aside.. Thank You for the Update!
Not really. Since some time somebody add malicious code to mostly Ren'Py based games (they extended their targets). Therefore I can understand the people that are unsure if a the browsers, your AV or whatever give your a popup with "Virus".You really don't need to. if people are not using download managers in this day and age and downloading gigs of data through their browser, in all honesty, being frank, that's a them issue...not a you issue.
I use AdGuard and some additional filters in my VPN.It can be the ADs their hosting or some of their scripts. Do you use any addons that blocj those or not?
