no, the comment you quoted above is the full game with the mod (dlc included). I would recommend to play without the mod first. The modded version, i don't know why, makes that all the dialoge appear in the down left corner... (sometimes)

from what I remember you get more ap when you hit milestones like completing a heroines route. I think I got up to 11 or so ap by the end of the game, I also think that there are consumables you can use to gain ap but I dont remember

Do not use the controller emulation then press the door. Send a scrrenshot so we can properly help, otherwise we dont know what the actual problem is.
