That would imply the patch files were not merged, only reason I can think of it you did copied over the subdirectory instead of content of it to the main directory of game.

I basically extract the zip and open the setup folders then cut and paste the content (abdata and others). After that the files that have same name get overwritten. I just dont know how to merge so I imply that as "cut and paste"

They aren't the same. The one in HC will not work with SVS, but the stand alone version will work with both.

No, they are programed to stay at the beach

While it is not a answer for your question, the latest HF Patch have plugin that makes girls stay with the clothes that they had in the H scene, so if you start H scene, change their cloths to swimsuit if you have one exported in coordinates and end scene, she will continue to wear it until she change or next time period.
