It's kind of wild that Illusion games still get Hongfire patches considering the site hasn't existed for like 6 years.
Because the HF stands for Hafe Fun, not Hongfire. And that there are still a lot that play AA so the interest is still there at least. It's kind of wild that Illusion games still get Hongfire patches considering the site hasn't existed for like 6 years.
The naming of recent HF patch is just for a "a nod to the past" for the OG HF patch because it has the same "spirit" of the OG patch. It is named HongFire patch because at that time there are numerous patch released by numerous Hongfire member that tackle numerous things for the same games, and some heroes starting collecting all the patch and consolidated it into one big patch and simply named it HongFire (HF) patch so people don't have to scourge upon thousands of pages to find some patch they wanted. There are some patches for non-Illusion games that also named HF patch, but the most famous one and the one that lives for years and still updated are mostly for Illusion games. It's kind of wild that Illusion games still get Hongfire patches considering the site hasn't existed for like 6 years.
It should already be in the game's root folder if you got the game here. If not it's here:sorry if this has already been asked or answered (I just got here), but where is the hf patch that we're supposed to run after dropping the dlc into the base game folder?
or is that no longer necessary?
It looks like the 1.6 version is in the game folder, but there's a 1.7 in the link! ThanksIt should already be in the game's root folder if you got the game here. If not it's here:

Just a reminder that we have official translation now, both on Steam and on version 1.1.6 of the game.Don't know if there is a better translation now, but that is the toggle:

Definitely kinda feels like they're testing the waters with an AA-style game. But since this game was a success (unlike HC), hopefully we could see them making newer and more in-depth and complex H-sim games.Wait, they are doing stuff like this again? Even if it doesn't go as deep as AA2, it at least shows they are willing to make these types of games again.
Or maybe I'm just coping really hard here.
I just peeked into this thread because I officially have no clue how to keep up with this game anymore, and all I know is, at the very least, the steam version specifically has not turned up in any non-obscure places on the internet (as far as my knowledge goes), so now I'm just lost on how to acquire/fully update my game from scratch, after having left the game alone for a good while. (The below image is just a reference for what files I held onto since sometime around it's release last year and what not.)Just a reminder that we have official translation now, both on Steam and on version 1.1.6 of the game.
I can agree to that. Unfortunately AA2 was more anime styled than AA1 which had some good looking face models. I have not found a way to make AA2 characters to look like this.In my opinion, AA2 is an optimized version of AA1.
AA1 have this same slow map transitions, and traits are only 2 selectable in AA2 without mods.
NPC to PC interruption can be disabled in Options>Balance Settings.
Thanks for the info. I still have STN's Better Repack from some months ago.Just a reminder that we have official translation now, both on Steam and on version 1.1.6 of the game.
