This game never had a porn scene in the sense of penetration or oral sex.
The closest thing to sex was the jacuzzi scene between Nami and Nika in chapter 4, when Nami rubbed his dick with her butt. But there was no penetration, just teasing.
Also there were a few henital shots in various situations, most of them were shots of the MC's flaccid dick.
All this was removed before the Steam release.
UPDATE: Although, you know, there was one thing. There was a scene where Nami persuaded Nika to watch porn with her. Now he always refuses, but before the rework, such an opportunity was there. And during this scene Nika could choose what kind of porn they will watch. And then there was a few shots from real porn on the TV, like they are watching a real porn.
Oh okay, I'm fully aware of those old/reworked/cut scenes. I just thought that I might have missed something since I didn't get started on this game from Day 1, and the other person claimed with so much certainty there was.

Thanks for clearing it up for me.

It's just Alex being Alex. Ignore the porn BS. It was stuff available on th internet. We play SG because it's not screengrabs of pornhub.
I don't know who posted them (I don't remember the nickname) but they are not fake. It was obvious that these shots were from the game. Read what yossa999 wrote, he saw it too. So your words are nonsense.

No, you mistook me. I know they were there. I'm glad they're gone. The whole point of an AVN is to be the artist's work, not have cheap porn screen caps. I call it bullshit, because it was a cheap effort. Nami being into porn and talking about it does just as much for the story without this weird juxtaposition of real porn inserted into a different environment.

Also, there was nothing 'hot' about the real porn. It had no purpose other than show that Nami is searching for her sexuality. Which we still understand with it the way it is now.

It was the same with Mario jacking off to a render of Katie, it was out of place and had no point - we still feel like he's an emasculated douche in the full season without it.

The real porn was not hot and served no purpose = BS.

Summer's Gone - Season 2 - Chapter 1 - Dev Log #39
Hello,

Aaaaand as usual, I’ve escaped the hole I was in two weeks ago and I’m back to being fully functional.

I had a few social events to attend to, as well as haggling a little bit with Steam.

I created about 190 stills in the past 9 days for SG.

I’m still in that damn scene, where it takes about a minute to save a render. (Not open, save.) Some character or item in that scene may be buggy.

I’ve handled bigger scenes before that didn’t have this issue. Computer power still limits the daily render output to max 21 a night. (Would’ve been like 11 before the workstation).

Which puts us at around 7630 stills.

2. Steam and the USK rating.
Last year I released Summer’s Gone Season 1 in a state that would let me keep about 30 music licenses, and this also opened up the possibility to release the Season 1 as non adult.

GOG and Epic Games did just that, but Steam, for some reason, classified it as “mild adult” and still blocked it in Germany.

Shortly after, I contacted the Steam support and asked them if a USK rating from Germany would let me publish in Germany too.

They said yes… But that damn rating is expensive so it took me until early July to apply for it. The agency checked my game, and gave it a non-indexed 18+ rating.

To make things short, Steam apparently handles it differently than what the support told me last year, and long story short: Steam will shortly review my game again to see if they can remove the “Frequent” tag.

If they do. Great. If they don’t: I wasted 1800€ on a rating that only Steam requires.

((:))

3. Marvelous Designer
Away from the downer to good news.

I’ve been using Marvelous Designer for cloth simulations in Daz, and found out what caused the implosion of some garments. This limited me severely. 80% of all clothes just exploded and crashed the software.

Meanwhile, I also stumbled upon a way to turn every clothing item into a wet version in MD. That way I don’t rely on one or two clothing assets that do this and instead can use pretty much every outfit the characters wear.

Bellchen spontaneously faceplants into a pool? Her dress will look wet and wrinkly, without having the imprecise drawback of low res Zbrush sculpting.

It does need a bit more work than just the simulation. I do need to modify the textures too. (Transparency, dark spots, etc.)

I’ve done some tests with Sonya but will soon repeat it with someone whose tiddies we have already seen and then I’ll show you how it looks.

Thank you both for your efforts to provide us with two Cheetos on one day. It's sure there's an off colour joke there :BootyTime:

That's my point. He spends it on stuff like this that may or may not produce additional income.
Well, is it possible that there are so few AVN's sold in Germany that he might make 2000€ off season 1? That would be worth it, and then he knows the process.

If USK 18 ratings allow an AVN with 'Sexuelle Inhalte' (where the main point of the game is sex) to be published, why wouldn't he do it? From what I can tell, it seems like no devs have gone to the expense. But if it's rated, potentially saves him trouble down the line anyway. Seems to me it's unexplored territory, no other dev seems to have risked submitting their game to the ratings panel, so who knows?

It does add a bit of a safeguard as well. An offical German govt body has approved his AVN, that's got to look good on paper.

It's only a good idea if he recoups what he spent, which we can't predict at this point and even he's unsure of it. Not to mention, Season 2 will not be available in Germany without some major kind of overhaul that is extremely unlikely.

Let me spend gamble 1800€ in the hopes that I'll gain 2000€ (or more) in short term income, knowing full well it's a one off since future content won't be able to do this. Assuming he gets the 2k, that's only a profit of 200, which wouldn't even cover one month's worth of bills.

BUt the question is how explicit the 'Sexuelle Inhalte' is allowed to be. If h can get USK ratings for Season 2, it's in a very different category for sales than an unrated game. I'm sure he's looking into that in detail.

And it doesn't have to be short term profit - if he can make a profit in the same financial year, it pays for itself - it's not like that's his sole source of revenue.

That's just it, all of this is speculative. He's paranoid about income. People that paranoid don't take such risks because there's no telling how it will play out.

It's different from when he leases new equipment. As long as it doesn't arrive DOA, then one can reasonably say "With this investment, I can hopefully produce faster/better artwork and thus increase my income."

Instead we have "I'm paying for this rating that will quite possibly do nothing for me."
