I looked for a price quote - did not see it on Steam but I could have missed it (I thought I saw a post mention USD $14.99?? - but, since I could not corroborate that number, I would wait until someone posts an actual screenshot or the 10th of May, whichever occurs first.
There will be other extras (music packs and some digital art packs showcasing some of the various women in SG but those are not part of the SG season 1 price).

I don't know anything about curators, but I think you're wrong. Very few people signed up for the game on Steam because Ocean chose the wrong time to sell the game. Homeworld 3 will be released at this time. And everyone will rush to buy it, and they will forget about the other games. This always happens when an expected game comes out on Steam.
