Jane Larverne was the police officer that Nami sent after Nika and Summer. I don't think we've seen a Lavorne in WiaB. Although it could be possible some of th bookclub used to be part of Leia's club seeing Leia goes to the bookclub as well.

Would've been a cool twist is her name was Jane, and Nika just mispronounced it when telling Amber. I mean, for Nami to call a polic officer that they know by name? Either Nika had some sort of truancy officer, or Larverne was a friend of Noji's. Otherwise, what would NIka really care about her name, and how would he know her as casually as Jane?

No idea. I did categorize her in the "insufficient S1 character development" bin for a reason. From what can be interpreted from the story (symptoms and Zara's story about Bella), Bella's sudden personality change and athletic dropout in middle school is likely related to that person ("relative") falling into a coma.

Again, Amber and Charlie are the only confirmed milfs at the bookclub. We only hear about it from Nika when he talks about the cabin with Amber in the two therapy sessions, and from Nami when they order pizza at home. Before the rework started in Ch3 (around then I think), Summer and Nika were stopped by a cop, but now the dream finishes with the lights (also pre rework they were older in that start sequence).

The assumption has been that Jane is the police officer, because of the police officer (Jannete) in the pre-rework was sent by Nami while she was off duty, so a Jane sent to bust Summer and Nika at the cabin seems pretty much the same. Jane has to be a friend of Noji's: that's the only way I think Nami could send a cop after them when she's a teenager, and the only way that they'd know Jane on a first name basis.
