Not on hiatus, the update is just big and takes time (8000+ renders). Currently is set to be relleased around december.

I never implied the render count was the only thing that matters, so don't jump to conclusion! No one said the render count was the only reason. It was used to give a quick sense of the update’s scale. There are obviously many other aspects involved, that should be clear without needing to spell it out every time.

Let's be honest, some LIs we only know are LIs because Ocean told us so.

Some of them, yes. But the ones I cited can very obviously be seen as LIs from story interactions alone. Nadia and Sasha less than others, but Mila and Zara are very obvious.

Nadia,Sasha and Vic aren't as prominent as the others but Zara and Mila have plenty of screen-time and are pretty obvious LIs.

Nah, screen time doesn't matter that much. I didn't know who was LI and who wasn't when I first played. But for example Noji never left the impression of a LI or even lewdable. But Sasha and Sonya were obvious LIs, you can just tell by the interactions with them. Nadia on the other hand didn't seem like a LI to me at all. Vanessa was a tricky case because of how she was tied to the story and her late introduction. The only thing I was sure of was that she was at least lewdable.

If you’re not paying attention to what’s happening in the game, then sure. By Sasha’s reaction to Nika’s panic attack in the classroom, the scenes in the gym, during the basketball game and the book club, it’s obvious she’s a LI. The same goes for the interactions with Sonya, though to a lesser extent. Meanwhile, Nadia fells more like just Bella and Zara's sidekick. The short screen time doesn't matter that much. Some characters even need it to maintain a certain image, like Sasha and Vanessa.
