Does a lot of illogical things. Like working on 2 games at the same time, both with a yearly update cycle, instead of just one or the other. Would be super cool to see one game done before the heat death of the universe. Not even mentioning there's supposedly 2 or 3 more games planned in the WiAB/SG universe. He is so paranoid about income, but also spending 1800€ to release game in Steam to Germany. Where is the logic?
Nah, again you haven't played the old version of WiAB so you only think you know what Ocean is about. You are right that he cared about rating, but that was solely for season 1. I mean, think about it from his perspective: is it worth to add 1-2 lewd scenes and cut off the potential reach of the game, revenues from Steam and number of hooked up teenagers who will come for more if they familiarize themselves with the title now? If you think about it, it absolutely makes sense. Not only that he made a little fortune selling the game, but his potential for a fan base now has increased to people he would have never reached if he made it 18+. And now, nothing really stops him from making it lewd, although tbh. it would be really weird if the MC turned from an impotent to the f***-machine, so I reckon the upcoming episode will only ahve some mild lewd scenesI've been following Summer's Gone from version 3.5 I already know what Ocean is about when it comes to lewd content ,He is scared shitless about it the whole ratings process ,He will bend over backwards and totally change everything all over again just to be on the safe side. Fuck what his fans want it's not about us it never was it's about the money and he knows there are those fans that will walk through hell in a gasoline gee string for him and wait for ever how long 1 year 2 years 3 just for a single update and that's fine and all but I hold Dev's to a higher standared than that but not everyone is like me and that's ok ,I just don't like to throw my money away at nothing I want something in return.![]()
To be honest I see both sides of it. It is a savvy business move, considering all the potential hooked up teenagers could get on board, and would be old enough to get a lewd season 2. But it didn't play out exactly like that. Ocean was scared of losing the music licenses, nothing more. He wasn't scared of censoring the game for steam or patreon, he was scared of losing his music licenses which he'd bought then they changed the terms to non lewd. Happened to a bunch of devs, and is still happening. What's he to do? Cuts the animation he was proud of and spent way too much time on simply because he can't use the music if it's rated 18+? Well in the end he had to anyway.Nah, again you haven't played the old version of WiAB so you only think you know what Ocean is about. he must respect his word
War, war never changes.I put this on his Subreddit and I wanna know what you guys think of it
You are deffo going crazy, if not already there, but not for the reasons you defined. Pretty sure it has been an ongoing process for quite some time now.I put this on his Subreddit and I wanna know what you guys think of it:
Hi,
Just a few things to preface with before I get into a discussion regarding some things I've noticed:
As you can probably tell by my tag, Sasha is my favourite character in SG. Since she's not the most developed character (yet) in the story, the main reason why she's my favourite is her character design (with her mysterious nature coming in second). However, I've been noticing some subtle design changes from the S2 Logs. I am aware that Ocean has addressed this in a previous log (in Dev Log #30), but the character design has still been a little off still. Please look at the renders attached as I voice my noticings.
- The first six pics of Sasha are from S1. The last four are from the Dev Logs for S2.
- Sasha is my personal favourite character, mostly due to her design in S1, which is partly why I'm making this post.
- I'm not intending to hate on Ocean in ANY WAY. Just trying to see if I'm going crazy or not.
- I do not have any experience with the technical side of making AVNs and character models, just stating what I'm noticing.
- This WILL NOT, in any way, cause me to stop playing S2. I still plan to buy S2 on Steam or GOG to support Ocean (assuming that the censorship doesn't worsen).
Okay, the first thing I've noticed is Sasha's face. For some reason, in the S2 renders, her face seems to be sharper and less round. It almost seems like she's undergone Botox or something. It seems especially prevalent around the cheeks, especially when you compare the S1 images to images 8 and 9. I'm pretty sure there's a noticeable difference. However, this doesn't seem to be the case for image 7 - where her face structure (more or less) looks the same, hence why I'm also complaining about a bit of inconsistency.
Another thing... herboobschest. Now, whilst I am generally a fan of big ones in AVNs, Sasha's in early S1 just seemed perfect for her (especially looking at images 3 & 4). However, even in S1 (in the book club), they seem to have grown bigger, looking at images 7 and 10 (where we can see them from the side). Personally, I feel like smaller ones fit the elegance of her character far better and can't help but be a bit disappointed at this change.
My final complaint isn't so much about her model, per se, but rather about her makeup. Please note that this complaint is MY PERSONAL PREFERENCE and not an issue with inconsistency with S1. The darker makeup around her eyes in her S2 design (eyeliner, shadow etc) just don't fit her character. I personally felt that lighter eye makeup suited her better, even at events like the book club.
Please tell me if I'm going crazy with these noticings or not. I'm confident that Ocean hasn't changed anything deliberately, in regards to the actual model of Sasha, so I'm assuming its just a difference between Daz and Blender. I'm pretty sure Ocean's using Blender now, right? Not that I know much about either. However, it is a bit disconcerting to see your favourite character, whom you loved for the subtle parts of their design, have those subtle parts altered and changed, assumingly unintentionally.

God fucking damnit. I know prices are getting higher, but do we have to inflate the tits as well?Sasha is the latest in a long list of Ocean's inflation victims.
Yeah I'm losing my mind. Good thing I've been thinking with my dick the last few years. It unburdens the mindYou are deffo going crazy, if not already there, but not for the reasons you defined. Pretty sure it has been an ongoing process for quite some time now.
While there's certainly an entirely logical argument that can be constructed for focusing entirely on a single project to the exclusion of all else for as many years as it takes, the problem with purely logical arguments is that the soundness of their conclusions depends not just on the validity of the logic, but also on the accuracy of the premises.Does a lot of illogical things. Playing the long game for consistent income is one thing. Finishing a game when your current fanbase might wind up like Nika with ED due to old age by the time its done is another.
I think the reason make 2 games at once because SG is slow burner since no sex scene at all at S1.While there's certainly an entirely logical argument that can be constructed for focusing entirely on a single project to the exclusion of all else for as many years as it takes, the problem with purely logical arguments is that the soundness of their conclusions depends not just on the validity of the logic, but also on the accuracy of the premises.
Once you factor in issues around burnout and motivation, it starts looking like a much better choice to encourage a creator to take time out, to work on other projects that take their fancy, and come back to the project you're interested in refreshed and re-energised.
Under some assumptions, you not only get a better project that way, you actually get it sooner too (or at all...)
Is this a repeated pattern?War, war never changes.

Little size improvement is not bad since she's just 19 they should grow a bitI put this on his Subreddit and I wanna know what you guys think of it:

I disagree strongly. Our dear dev has been clearly demonstrated to turn semi-normal looking women into dirigible-sized titty monsters. I am honestly surprised he didn't fuck up Nami that way (yet) given his previous changes.Little size improvement is not bad since she's just 19 they should grow a bit
Your opponent is right. You're looking for the problem in the wrong place, besides, burnout is nonsense invented for stupid people to load them with more work and pay them less. Fatigue isn't an option either, because tired people won't work on two projects at once.Once you factor in issues around burnout and motivation, it starts looking like a much better choice to encourage a creator to take time out, to work on other projects that take their fancy, and come back to the project you're interested in refreshed and re-energised.
True, and false.Remember that Summer's Gone came after WIAB, and perhaps WIAB and OCEAN only have the success they enjoy today because of Summer's Gone. Maybe the decision to work on two games was the right one, the problem is his perfectionism.
