Looks more like homage than a paid ad or a promotion and especially, a joke. Ocean has helped other devs with DAZ before, I'm guessing a dev of that unknown game was one of them and this was his way to say thanks.
But, since we have no information to be sure, this is just my guess and I may be wrong about it. Credits of that game may have more info about it.
Would it be someone making fun of him, it's just not clever enough to be a joke.

There are many beautiful renders in SG. I was recently browsing through gift renders and saw a stunningly beautiful render of Sasha. If the developer had included this render, it would have looked like both a beautiful advertisement and a tribute. But the developer added a render of Nia, who is miming "you're dead." How can that be an advertisement or a tribute? You clearly have serious problems with perception.

If the next time a developer writes, "This is what Ocean did with their game," and then inserts a picture of a guy taking a shit on a toilet, would you consider that a tribute or an advertisement?

isn't Artemis doing that with a fuckload of other Avn creators ? and there are literal crossovers with a dozen of other Avns within the story?
on second thought I'm not sure it's Artemis, maybe it's another one, but I vaguely recall it's a pretty well known AVN too.

since it's something that needs a manual input and there's thousands of games, some games that didn't have an update in 2 years aren't updated as abandoned. but I'm guessingit's a huge forum and it's pretty hard to keep track .
