Ren'Py - Summertime Saga [v21.0.0 wip.5091] [Kompas Productions]

This game pretty much brought me to this site a few years back,at the time i considered this game as one of my top three.Characters,story,animations are all quite well made,i was looking forward to every update,but here comes the biggest issue with this game,very long developing time,updates that come every 3 or 4 months,MINIMUM.Every update that comes sees less and less content,dev is always full of excusses.At this point i feel bad for the people that give money to this game,it is well overpayed.Hopefully he will see what he has become and change to what he once was...but that will hardly happen.

v0.15.20: Too buggy to be called a game at this point. Unplayable without running into game breaking bugs (events do not properly trigger) The artwork is pretty good and unique and the attempts at story and mini-games hold promise at least, but for now I wouldn't bother.

Awesome work.. the theme is constructed well. characters are not boring and everything is well scripted.. Its also very easy to play. you get all the good stuff for every step you make. In my opinion this is one of the best in every aspect. Keep up the good work.. I'm a fan Cheers dev

This is a long game and you can't use old saves for new versions that alone makes this game a 2 star and with the evil site we all know we hate now the game needs a patch to fix incest it is best to wait to the game gets a fix for old saves or wait to the game is completed so you don't have to start over every time. This game should be 5 stars but like i said the starting over is hurting this game.

I went from two stars to a 4 star rating still have save issues but people say they are gonna fix that for the next update if they fix that this game is indeed 4 maybe 5 star game the other issue is not their fault but Patreon for the incest stuff and it is not right taking it out on the creator/s.

It's been a long time. It started pretty good. The already good art just got better along the way, but that's it. Everything else just fell short at some point, never to recover. Pretty and neat finish, there's two or three fun character stories, but mostly empty and leaves you indifferent.

I could personally fill a sperm bank with the seed I've invested in this game... and it's not even complete, dear lord. Very good animation (stills and movement scenes), engaging and semi-realistic character backgrounds and dialogues, and a likeable cast, sans Eric.

this game is fucking great. It's still just lacking alot and the scenes get somewhat repetitive towards the end. I can't wait to see what all comes next though. Please please just give us more sis mom stuff though. This could very well be a classic.

How to begin? SS is pretty much on of the best adult games out there. It has a unique art style with hand drawn graphics you won't find anywhere else, some iconic and loveable characters and a reliable interface. The stories are mostly good to excellent and the sex scenes as repeatable content give you enough options to make repeats worthwhile.

But? SS tries to be much more than a fap game, but in the end concerning its content it will always be one. It tries to give you non-adult content, minigames and a crime back story, you need to do a lot of non-sexual activites, and because of the decision to render older save games unplayable you always have to start from scratch. The last one is IMO for a small part necessary because of story and trigger changes, but for the bigger part a speed bump to force player into invest more time to each update. Because it takes a while to the next update. Because they need to code/implement new minigames every new update. That's not why we are here, guys!

To me this is by far the best adult game ive ever played. It achieves a perfect balance of gameplay and progression so you have to work for the scenes so you feel rewarded but at the same time it isnt too much grind so you dont get bored. The story is pretty strong, specially with the mother, since it mantains an erotic stairway to heaven progression style, that makes you really excited, and when the climax comes, its incredibly satisfying. The other routes are not as good at that one but still pretty fun.

Great art, decent story, well done h-scenes, and a professional and transparent publisher and great community. On top of it all its released for free. Definitely a great game to play and support. The streams that Darkcookie does are also lots of fun.

Absolutely fantastic game with so much to do. The developer is very interactive with live streams on a regular basis, a deep and interesting story with numerous different plotlines, all unique art created just for this game by hand, etc. Definitely one of the best I've played.

Storyline - 7/10 - Hard to say in its current state as the story is only developed a little way. The Gangster element leads me to believe there will be some NTR later in game which I don't look forward to.

Pacing - 7/10 - fairly good. You generally speaking have to put in some work to get to the "good stuff" but its fun work so you dont mind it so much. Much more fun than the Big Brother or Man of the house grind

Renders 10/10 - Hand drawn assets meaning no recycled Daz Studio renders with noise or unrealistic looking poses.

Character design 8/10 - Dark Cookie obviously has a thing for big breasts, not that I am complaining.

Overall - 8/10 - One of my faves at the time of writing because the dev is trying to be different and is making the game FUN as well as sexy and is putting in some real effort. I really hope that he finishes this game as there are a lot of "in the next version" parts that I am interested to see what happens with.

Summertime Saga itself is really fun to play and the h-scenes are really exciting. I love all characters and their storylines especially mom and mia, the only flaws in the game are the long updates.

This is my favorite of all the games on the zone. I can't give a real good reason for that, other than I enjoy playing this one the most. For one thing, English seems to be the developer's native tongue, so the awkward syntax of most of these games is not an issue. Plus, other than the space bar gymnastics, the story is fun.

Easily one of the most in-depth, fun adult games I've ever played. Plus the artwork is great. You can really tell that DarkCookie has put in a lot of love and effort into this game. I can't wait to see the finished product.

This amazing title and whatever this dev puts out in the future. The only thing that I can say that makes me mad is the face that the sun story isn’t progressing as much but I totally instant if the patrons want to push other things to the forefront of the development.

I confess that for a long time I have always looked at the SS as a game less than the competition. I've always wondered why creating a game without the 3D features and VN limitations? I have to admit that the script and the art of DarkCookie are above the average of many VN games on the market, it's not really easy for a team of developers to keep a game so attractive and entertaining with each update. Really these guys deserve every penny of the over 6,600 Patreons.

The gold standard of epic sandbox porn games. Amazing artwork, sexy characters, excellent writing (that mixes the expected high school / porn tropes with clever surprises). The only drawbacks to Summertime Saga are its chronic level of incompleteness and a few annoying bugs; this is due to the extremely ambitious nature of the project and the high expectations that creates for the player. There's good reason everybody begs for a new update within days of the last one! It's just too good.
