Ren'Py - Summertime Saga [v21.0.0 wip.5091] [Kompas Productions]

Absolutely fantastic game with so much to do. The developer is very interactive with live streams on a regular basis, a deep and interesting story with numerous different plotlines, all unique art created just for this game by hand, etc. Definitely one of the best I've played.

Storyline - 7/10 - Hard to say in its current state as the story is only developed a little way. The Gangster element leads me to believe there will be some NTR later in game which I don't look forward to.

Pacing - 7/10 - fairly good. You generally speaking have to put in some work to get to the "good stuff" but its fun work so you dont mind it so much. Much more fun than the Big Brother or Man of the house grind

Renders 10/10 - Hand drawn assets meaning no recycled Daz Studio renders with noise or unrealistic looking poses.

Character design 8/10 - Dark Cookie obviously has a thing for big breasts, not that I am complaining.

Overall - 8/10 - One of my faves at the time of writing because the dev is trying to be different and is making the game FUN as well as sexy and is putting in some real effort. I really hope that he finishes this game as there are a lot of "in the next version" parts that I am interested to see what happens with.

Summertime Saga itself is really fun to play and the h-scenes are really exciting. I love all characters and their storylines especially mom and mia, the only flaws in the game are the long updates.

This is my favorite of all the games on the zone. I can't give a real good reason for that, other than I enjoy playing this one the most. For one thing, English seems to be the developer's native tongue, so the awkward syntax of most of these games is not an issue. Plus, other than the space bar gymnastics, the story is fun.

Easily one of the most in-depth, fun adult games I've ever played. Plus the artwork is great. You can really tell that DarkCookie has put in a lot of love and effort into this game. I can't wait to see the finished product.

This amazing title and whatever this dev puts out in the future. The only thing that I can say that makes me mad is the face that the sun story isn’t progressing as much but I totally instant if the patrons want to push other things to the forefront of the development.

I confess that for a long time I have always looked at the SS as a game less than the competition. I've always wondered why creating a game without the 3D features and VN limitations? I have to admit that the script and the art of DarkCookie are above the average of many VN games on the market, it's not really easy for a team of developers to keep a game so attractive and entertaining with each update. Really these guys deserve every penny of the over 6,600 Patreons.

The gold standard of epic sandbox porn games. Amazing artwork, sexy characters, excellent writing (that mixes the expected high school / porn tropes with clever surprises). The only drawbacks to Summertime Saga are its chronic level of incompleteness and a few annoying bugs; this is due to the extremely ambitious nature of the project and the high expectations that creates for the player. There's good reason everybody begs for a new update within days of the last one! It's just too good.

cons:
- Generic art, they claim it's high quality, and perhaps it was at some point of development but now it's become generic because of devs inability to hire animator that could work with old models, apparently not enough $$$$
- Dialogues in the game are on the level of primary school, writer is just pitiful to the point you may as well skip all dialogues because they don't and will never serve their purpose, they're here just so they are, if you had printed all dialogues in this game without pictures and tried reading them you'd have trouble distinguishing them from a work of primary schooler
-As dialogues go, stories and characters are insipid and as ordinary as they can get(actually they cannot be even ordinary, the characters in this game don't have personalities and if there is one, there is only one trait to it)
-No character development for main character
-Dishonest developers pretending they are doing quantum physics coding visual novel, every update they take as much as 2 weeks for bug testing but these releases are all buggy as fuck, main developer is lying to his supporters with a straight face on daily basis(promised to hire 2 coders for the project, but fired 2nd one soon after he recruited other coder so there is only just one, no public statements about it, a fraud)
-Releases are very long and low quality in terms of art, dialogues and story
-Dev refuses to introduce save compability because that would make people only play new content which in turn would make them realize how small these release are
-Dev in spite of earning 50k$ a month refuses to hire professional animators and coders because he is simply greedy for money
pros:

there are none, the only good thing of this game is that its manually drawn, but it's faded because of how generic and simplified art has become over the course of last updates just to let amateur animator catch up with his animation

Couple months ago after update 0.14-0.15 I may have recommended this game before animator, "Reworks" and all of that took place, but now it's taken the turn that is making it completely worthless I was big fan in the past, but now I couldn't bring myself to play last 2 updates, normally I'd always replay these readily but now it's just so bad, I can't find in me to play this game, that's how bad it's become.

The art is good, nice drawings, the character faces seem generic tho, with similar factions and not very attractive females.

In most cases the eyebrows of almost all characters are just a lazily drawn arcs on top of the eyes.

Lack real choices, in many instances the player is forced to finish different routes to complete anothers, there are only about three choices the player can make that actually change some scenes in the game.

Very outdated jokes about politics and touchy subjects related to public figures.

Offensive anti-religious content, twisting words, concepts, and meanings, feels more like grumpy old ladies' gossips being portrayed in a twisted and vindictive way.

It was a turn off seeing likable characters being thrown into abusive situations, rather than feeling aroused I felt troubled about their well being, disgust, cringe, and anger where some of the emotions I went through while trying this game.

There is a lot of grinding for money and the balance between effort and rewards feels off, players waste many days saving for some item and then the reward event is over in a couple of minutes, there are some scenes that actually last longer, like the intercourse scenes with the mom and the sister, but almost all go away after a few clicks.

Too much personal opinions and rants portrayed in this game, thematic subjects that belongs into some opinion blog and not into a fap game.

Some facts:
-The mother route is good, very good, a loving and caring mother who slowly accept her son's desires. But very disappointing when you learn the mother was a slut who was screwing around when she was already married.

-The sister is a camwhore who only sees you as an annoyance and a cash cow, and the very few chances you have to tell her you love her she tells you to fuck off that she's only doing things with you for the money. The sex scenes with her are forced, the MC forces himself on her and takes her by force right after she tells you she doesn't want that, is rape based.

-The best friend's mother route can throw you into a threesome or you can find a girl for the best friend and get his mother to have sex with you but you will still see her doing things with her son even after he already got a girlfriend and you're the one supposed to be taking care of the mother's desires. Sloppy seconds and sharing the best friend's bugs.

-Farm themed "breeding" with the MC's aunt who is selling breast milk to the local school for children to drink at lunch.

-Glory hole content with a lifeguard slut.

-Handjob and groping in a school toilet with a big tited bullied "ugly" girl, her own will.

-Another neighbor girl or her mother, twisted and thematic religious mockery, a story filled with abuse, torture, and rape on a restrained woman if you go for the mother you brake up her marriage and lose her daughter's friendship, even if you choose to go for the daughter you are still blackmailed and forced to watch how the mother is tortured, mentally and physically abused, and ultimately strap-on rapped by a portrayed crazy nun.

-Bestiality with some kind of mermaid girl.

A rather long story, a lot of choice and perversion. However, I find the average game. The shopping system, in the game, does not suit me. Many roads are not finished. The deisign lacks "realism". The game is still in development but has a lot of potential.

Summertime Saga is perhaps the one game amongst all that has the most potential for growth. Rather than a traditional visual novel it features various mini-games and point & click exploration. As of this review it has much to offer to players with a diverse list of characters to go after. However, its got a few frustrating bugs that hamper the experience at times. Its nice artstyle and willingness to do more will fare it well in the long run as long as the developer stays true to their vision.

Art is decent but falls into the all too common human cow syndrome (literally in one case). Story is solid and there's plenty to do. Lots of content and, though grindy at times, it is an enjoyable game. Overall it's one of the best games being worked on at the moment.

This is one of the best games I have ever played. I made an account just to give it a review. I compare any game I play to the ease, story, art, and production of this game. It has really set the standard for me. So far nothing has been able to come close

An addictive game that has a lot of potential to develop in future releases. The main characters are well outlined. It's a shame that sex scenes with my mom and sister are coming to an end. Maybe they can grow in other locations in the house or even outside. A small diversification of the main character wardrobe would be welcome. I would like to take the car out of the garage and go for a walk. At the beach, fishing, at a restaurant. A relationship between characters needs to be developed otherwise they bother and stop the game. Can punish if MC does not learn well at school ... Some scenes and situations where there is a jealousy between characters. The graphics are excellent and even welcome to the possibility of changing the viewing angles at the mature sex scene. Protected sex and unprotected sex would be good to be this option in future versions with consequences depending on your choice. I mean, to get pregnant or not. Anyway, a very good job that makes this game one of my favorites.

One of the best adult games out there atm. I 100% recommend to Play with a guide/walkthrough. First time playing through the game cheating isnt really needed. pretty cool mc, he isnt really annoying or does stupid stuff. i played quiet a few versions of this game, maybe 3 or 4 and got about 4-5 good faps in Overall: sex shop Girl, sister shower, sister sleep, aunt (wasnt a good fap, but i ran out of time, and she was good enough i guess), and maybe 1 mother riding.

reasons for 4 and not 5 stars:
Not the biggest fan of some of the sex Scenes, sometimes not very fap friendly. some of the art in the sex Scenes are sometimes off imo. Overall game takes quiet some time to Play through. im also just not the biggest fan of the mum and aunt. sister is ok but also not 10/10.

BUT obv this game can go to "Fap per played time" Rating 5 star once it gets more Content for the Girls i like: mia, mum of your friend,french teacher and obv that blonde chick in School(omfg she is so fucking hot). once those Girls get good Content, i will probably replay their Scenes loads of times and get a lot of new and good faps in. but for now "only" 4 stars.

The game is really good, the concept of a open world is real cool. i like having the quests, wish there was more unlocked already though. I like all the mini games, i wish there were more many games to play though.

It's amazing and the dedication is brilliant by DarkCookie and his team. All art is hand drawn and the animations are pretty decent. The world is incredibly immersive hence believe me, this game is fappening (Bad pun, sorry) .Good work. :3 <3 BTW love the mom arc. you guys are awesomo!!!

this game offers plenty of story with great payoff when you make it to the h-scenes. lots of locations to visit without feeling like a grind. the art and posing is erotic and seeing the cartoon style characters in xxx scenes is surprisingly perverse.

The way the game is built is kinda... i mean there is a lot of stuff that you don't know if they have purpose or is just siting ther until the next realeses...

Saves, well every new version you have to start a new game, and after a long time it became clear that this is made on purpose!

The devlopment is really slow, each update takes about 2 months be realesed and bring a low amount of content that is masked by the need of starting a new game....

After a long time i finally came to sense that is best to wait 8 months to 1 year to check this back for good amount of content.

Since this game still in development and there is a bunch of stuff to come, i will probably review this rating in the future.
