Well, I'm not really sure the suggestion to draw Ronda's mum without one limb was a joke. I mean, he actually made several sketches and polled them. Given the resistance I'd guess she'll keep her leg an have another, less obvious reason to not be able to compete in sports anymore, but excatly because of that I wouldn't be surprised to see a minor replacement character for that idea. But that's of course just a hunch of mine.

Yes he did as a joke. The whole missing a leg, would make sense for Rhonda's story, her mom loses a leg and has to end her sporting career, and now Rhonda is doing it for her mom or her mom is pressuring her to do well in sports. But he wouldn't go to that extreme I think, he can go the injury route but I don't think we will see any missing limbs.

but that would be because of major story changes in between when that save happened. If you drive on a road (play a quest), then make a break for a week (save the game), and meanwhile they close that road (update the game), there is no wonder you can not jump into your car and continue driving (load the save and continue playing). Safest way to avoid closed roads (broken quests) is to stay on the motorway (save only on the main town map or MC's bedroom).
True. I suppose it depends on how you weigh the importance of everyone getting something they like into the game vs only the majority. And while I do think it's important to keep the game based in what originally got it popular, divergences here and there shouldn't be a bad thing because 99% of the game still revolves around what got so many people invested in the first place.

Quite a few unlocking points have changed in the past, so it'll likely be just as in those cases. She/her shop will simply unlock when you'll need it the first time, while several stories may trigger that event. It's the same with the parlour, church, etc. now. I doubt it's going to cause that many troubles. If you've unlocked it from another story it'll be unlocked, if not, it'll unlock once you meet her the first time in Judith's story.
