Theres basically 2 types of porn game creators.
Theres the 1 that makes a porn game because they want a free source of income and know how lucrative a patreon or subscribestar can be so they pick it up as a hobby.
Then theres the devs who make porn games because they have a passion for videogame design and xxx-themes, when you combine those 2 things you get games like Summertime Saga.

Well, she was supposed to deliver some scenes so the main story does have lewd stuff going on, but she clearly remains a secondary character.
The story itself certainly, but Eve will be part of the dating system which will include lewd stuff and one should keep in mind that their first plans for 0.19.5 were indeed to add more content to Eve/Odette and possibly Grace. So there's hope for another scene or two at some point.

He always spams that about the development. The real fact of the matter is that these last updates were special and took longer than usual. After the main story updates are done its back to basic character updates so we might have some good stuff to look forward to by this time next year. Also dont buy into the widescreen stuff, DEV had a poll for it and it did not pass so its not going to affect the initial roadmap.Sorry i didn't know 0.20.8 dropped the next year, still was hoping for december lol, well at least we have Cold War and Cyberpunk for the wait

In DC case it's not really just an interest. He worked in the animation industry in something like a team leader position before and started freelancing right before he started to work on SS to teach himself working with Ren'Py. People liked it and that's how we are where we are. But it's not like he started with no experience in working on projects etc.
Else? Dedication and time. He streams 5 times a week and seems still pretty motivated to deliver actual quality, even though there are certainly decisions which one can disagree with.
hi, i have a problem with the Garden Minigame. When i press the "Clean the Garden"-Button to start the Minigame, The MC tells that he has to tell Diane the he is starting to work. But even when i Talk to Diane, it will not start.. So im kinda Stuck there. Already tried to load different Savefiles with no success.

DC is already working on widescreen during the streams, poll means nothing. And we're ~3 months into 0.20.8 and we're barely a 1/3 done. Whatever happened before in other builds means nothing if it takes over a year for 0.20 to complete and it still takes 6 months+ per major update afterwards
He started ~4 years ago when a lot less wonky devs were spewing trash/greed games around. And there was also this thing called wincest that helped push the game into god tier.

He just said yesterday that he'll probably poll the additional sex scenes which will be implemented with the widescreen update after 0.20.8 is released (which will likely be another chance for Eve, Grace, etc. to get some content). In case that still doesn't convince you, you'll just have to wait and see. Having said that, these smaller polls for specific issues have never really meant anything and DC tends to ignore them if he thinks there's something better to do.

DC said said quite a few times that he doesn't even want merchandise and doesn't do any advertising at all. Having said that, it was a very different time 4 years ago and the game has been in patreon's top 10/5 or so for almost 3 or so years by now. That's a luxury few others have.

lol patreons little no incest policy is basically a joke. Any dev no matter who or what project they work on can easily dodge/subvert it and FYI he already does since we can clearly fuck mom and sis and aunt in game.
The real reason we probably wont see any eve/grace content is because the dev is more interested in getting out the scheduled updates, these main story updates have halted progress quite a bit.

The reason why we won't see any Eve and Grace stuff is because they are sisters and when DC removed the incest from the game, the mom became the landlady, the sister became just a roommate and the aunt became a friend of the mom. You can have sex scenes with them because the game says they are not related. I am pretty sure that if patreon didn't have a problem with incest we would have at least one scene with eve and grace.

So the whole notion of incest patches, relationship renaming, secret button activating and other tricks just dont exist to you?
The only time it doesnt work is when the dev has a "hate fanbase" that actively wants the project to fail, a good example of this was "Nergal's Nest" when he was making Urban Demons. He was taking very long in development and his fans started to think he was milking them so they had him reported for having incest, patreon told him to change or his account would be terminated and so he had to hurry and finish Urban Demons or risk losing access to patreon.
