Big projects like operating systems have hundreds or thousands of coders and they don't have that problem. You can have any number of coders on a project, as long as a project manager creates rules and ensures that they're followed. In a small project like this, it's simply a lead programmer. I've been a lead programmer. I tell everyone the format that they have to use, and then I review their work and make sure that they're using it. It is not only unnecessary, but actually impossible to have a large project coded by a single coder to ensure consistency.

From what I've got during the years, DC simply doesn't really care, but wants to create his game in a rather relaxed environment. He's been some kind of animation team lead before he started SS and it seems like he doesn't want to go back to that. To me that seems to be one of the reasons why he keeps his team as it is.
This same discussion is going on for like 3 years and not much changed (apart from a few guys more he knows helping out occasinally) and it's very unlikely that it's going change in future, either.

I think SS is a great game; DC makes it a little too sugary sometimes, and maybe some pop-culture references could prove to be unnecessary, but I also think it's because he's in love with his life partner (who's involved in the same creative process; you can clearly feel the feminine touch!). I like the game as it is, no need for sound nor any mods, and if the author really likes his job he's going to complete it anyway. (I'm posting this only to see if they'll delete it, or maybe I'll get some gratuitous rant from my favourite search engine

yeah sometimes it feels like he's more interested in putting in meme characters and fun/dumb shit into his game like keanu reeves or the bigfoot lady than the actual adult part of his game. like instead of putting in another grandma at the cafeteria he could have used the time to have the already existing characters interact and crossover with each other more. remember when during the eve story you spy on liu? i wish we had more stuff like this. more focus on the sexy parts. not necessarily straight up more porn animations but simple things like the telescope or one girl randomly getting into a lewd situation with another girl.

For a company that claims to encourage creators to "push the boundaries of art" they seem to censor quite a bit of artists. I wish they would just ban pornography on their platform all together so adult VN devs would be forced to stop using it because I know they will never give up that patreon cash any other way. There are a few good devs out there though, who are actually passionate about creating their vision and avoid patreon so they dont get censored, but its rare.

Paypal said lolnope to anything not vanilla, Patreon said lolnope to anything not vanilla cause of that. Devs must comply or get shafted. Substar is only credit cards (who don't care), so madlads go there. Dumping Patreon for Substar would remove a huge chunk of people from donating (cause not every1 uses credit card for lewds)

That's been something I've been saying for a long time, humor and goofyness is certainly welcome in porn games, especially in a light hearted game like Summertime Saga. But it's too much already and he keeps adding shit like that, it might be because he feels bored of the game, which is totally understandable since he has worked on it for years, so he adds some "spice" to the game because he finds it fun. It's his game but some of his time could be spent on adding actual significant content instead of stale memes and pop culture references.

As someone who likes pubes I wish they didn't look so half assed. They look more like charcoal smears (?) rather than actual hair, the newer characters have better pubes but it still looks ehh. It could be his style of drawing but I just think they look lazy tbh.
