Subscriberstar more user friendly when it comes to content restrictions? Patron restricts specific genres, that blows.
SubscribeStar is more open for the moment only because they have a fraction of the audience of Patreon. Patreon were fine and dandy with taboo content until they got big enough to start needing/attracting investors. It was never formally announced, but with a bit of digging you can find information on Patreon's ; I doubt it's a coincidence that their crackdown on taboo content (early 2018) started about the time they began attracting bigger names and higher amounts.

Venture capital is famously allergic to porn because it presents additional risks from government agencies, family values groups, and any conservative politicians who feel like whipping up the base by going on a crusade. Witness what happened to , or the several US states that just instituted official age verification for visiting adult sites. It's why even OnlyFans tried to remove the porn despite it being nearly their entire market; they're one of the 100 largest sites on the planet by traffic, yet they can't so much as with their rep.

So long as SubscribeStar stays small they'll stay free, but once they need money they'll turn like the rest.

At this point I have basically given up on this game. It would be fun to play the full game, but considering that this game is taking forever just for one update, it's not worth it. Especially, since there are a lot better games that at least have regular updates.

Eve and Grace are siblings. Patreon does not allow incest content that is simply for titillation. Subscribestar does.
Couldn't they put out an incest patch on Patreon? Or is that not allowed?

But two sisters having sex to a guy not related, isn't incest.
Patreon doesn't care. As long as it looks like family, it's against their rules. They didn't allow stepsiblings to unban games, either.

Edit:

Just to add, as far as I'm aware payment processors (mainly Paypal and Stripe) played a huge role. So any platform that wants to ulitize paypal will have to adhere to similar standards as does Patreon now. Hence Subscribestar doesn't offer paypal at all and it's also the reason why for example Onlyfans doesn't offer Paypal payments.

So Patreon basically had the choice to stop using Paypal or to ban incest, underage content, etc. - they chose the latter. Probably for good reason, as they definitely cater to a more casual audience in general.

What wrong?
People desire new content to masturbate to but the development team hasn't released an update since October 2022. It is still months away from any expected update release. It could be Spring 2024 or later until there is one. Some people are angry, sad, confused, in various stages of grief. They attempt to obfuscate that it is strictly because of their own desires by cloaking it under the guise that they are "thinking of the poor, abused subscribers" and through accusations of the developer grifting.

I still find it strange that Paypal and Stripe have issues with adult content but Visa and Mastercard don't. Paypal has a (they'll let you buy physical content like sex toys in the US, but you can't encourage people to use it) out of an apparent fear of being caught making payments to human traffickers, so I suspect it may be down to however the company is structured to deal with banks across multiple countries and currencies. Maybe Visa is just big enough that they don't give a fuck :ROFLMAO:

Is that a possible loophole I hear?
It's not a loophole. I was attempting to head off an "Acktually" or "To be fair" response from someone wishing to be pedantic so that I wouldn't have to clarify with a follow up post.

It's a contextual acknowledgement from their own lips... er, .
We understand that some topics on this list such as incest or rape are a little bit more complicated because these situations are, unfortunately, part of real life. As a result, when reviewing these types of creations, the Trust and Safety team will take into consideration context including personal, historical or educational narrative. For example, survivor stories or fiction such as Lolita are allowed on Patreon.
(emphasis mine)

I would make the assumption the simple idea of these being adult video games and adult visual novels of which the genres would make any consideration for "context" quite unlikely. The likelihood of an adult game creator exploring incest context which might pass muster for Patreon is also just as unlikely... that is if they want the crowd we usually find visiting F95.
