Yup that's the issue with pretty much all of the patreon games. Looking like it's a kickstarter but it's not. It's also not obvious to people at first glance and when you pitch projects like it's a kickstarter then fall back on the fine print (which is provided by Patron to be fair) it becomes a "gotcha" moment. It's more impactful if you're actually donating (like my dumb ass did) but even when you're not it's perfectly reasonable to look at that interaction from a 3rd POV and go "wow that guy is dumb for donating but fuck that other guy for pulling that shit". Nobody likes gotchas. But like you said they are also free to leave.

Gotta respect the hustle, if nothing else. It being entirely voluntary is the genius part, since people are easy go get go drop money on things they don't directly profit from (see charity or church). It's not like how tips are apparently handled in some places in the US, where tip automatically gets added to the bill and you have to pay up (doesn't that kind of defeat the whole purpose of it being a tip?). So someone is probably getting ripped off more from going to one of those places than they're from donating to DC.

Developers don't pay anything to put their games on here. In fact, the vast majority of games are pirated against the develoers' wishes.

Finally, you're the person who subscribed to Dark Cookie (supposedly) for a game that is free to everyone - without a requirement to subscribe. Caveat emptor. You should have stopped subscribing sooner if you weren't getting what you thought you should get... Even while getting your tier benefits afforded you per your subscription.

And also there is a Donate button on this site, you can use that beside of annoying ads. This is a probably the biggest forum related to porngames and not an unimportant platform as you like to portray it. For devs this forums are the way to get found.
Prooved because he reacted quickly after the "Abandoned Tag", as we can see now.. there wasn't because he was close to finish, he made nothing in the last 3 Years besides his streams.

This guy is a scammer, no matter what you claim here. A lot of People will find this game here and start to support him when they like the game, this should be prevented by a SCAM-TAG Now!

I'm certainly one of the few who support developers, and the game used to be good so i will support the dev. Now it's just a scam, nothing more, nothing less. People should be aware of this. I work in the games industry myself and, unlike you, I'm in a good position to judge.

I supported a Project and a Developer, yes ...but is he still a developer when he does not develop anything?
In my opinion it's a scam, I was supporting him to develop the project... but the truth is that as more people donate, he will do less..

What do you get from the scammer for supporting his rip-off? In my opinion, you should be banned.

I love it when the argument is "you don't pay anything, you have all for free, so you are not entitle to have an opinion, and if you are going to have one, IT HAD BETTER BE A POSITIVE ONE!", then what the fuck are we all doing in this site? And so, the farmer won the money he wanted, guarded by fanatics, most of them for free. And the community kept bloody fighting against eachother for nothing, and nothing changed.. all's well that ends well...

So my point is, please, let people enjoy their fucking freedom of speech...
