I am far from an expert but even I know how things work a lot better than you. You have this odd notion that this would be hard to mimic, no offense to DC but it's only unique in it's oddity, not it's quality. It would not be hard to mimic.
It's product, view it as such. As for artists working on lewd art, the only reason more don't when it come's to big projects is because there are very few big projects but it is well known that a lot of artists get by, by doing commissions, often involving really weird shit.
Your first paragraph assumes a position I haven't taken: People CAN'T copy DC's work. I'm saying that for a number of reasons, people WON'T copy or be a part of DC's work.
Your second paragraph ignores that the adult gaming market is very small and growing. As such, labor within it is highly priced (competitive from other markets) and DC has less leverage than what others think.
