I'll tell you, guys: I restarted from scratch the last Diane 0.17 update 4 times because of bugs and bugfixing updates. I haven't completed it yet: I didn't complete the reworked Diane's storyline because I had enough of playing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over the same damn fucking scenes and reading the same damn lines every damn update. Endlessly.

Will I play the Jenny's reworked storyline (my favourite SS' character by far) when it comes out? honestly, I'm not so sure...

There's plenty of 3d copy/paste games that get nearly weekly updates, with writing like they'd been written by Borat, but no bugs to speak of and a schedule that's quick enough for you guys, so go and support one of those instead.

As others have mentioned, you really need to pay attention to how developers interact with the community they create.

Adult gaming is a small niche with a few volatile actors. Some are more stable than others. DC has been stable with his growth for the most part in allowing for free updates and free communication on the platforms he chooses. BB stopping is his own thing. I think I've played one or two games of his and IIRC, the games are good but very complex undertakings with VA and everything.

If Patrons don't get their money's worth, they move elsewhere. Simple as that. But with DC specifically, he listens to the community, gives them a vote, improves on talking to them openly, and allows for discretion in how the story branches from here.

So stop thinking about hypotheticals. Focus on the reality in front of you. So long as DC communicates well, he has Patron support. Simple as that.

I hope you're right. Because as you so rightly say, if they don't get their moneys worth they move elsewhere. We are arguing the same point, perhaps from different angles

The proof as they say will be in the long term pudding. Backers only take constant communication so far if the constant communication is "sorry it took so long".

I know I'm fine with the schedule, like the product, and like how DC does things with a level of transparency few if any other dev does and I'm a patron. Savegame compatibility is not a voting issue, and the reason for lack of it has been explained. Plus, with every new update you can download a save game that gets you right into playing the new content. And sure the updates take longer, since the game keeps getting progressively more complex, so that's a given.

There's been other games that failed on this premise even though they were promising.

Once communication breaks down, it really just collapses in on itself.

I'm sure that a few people around here can bring up examples, but the collapse of two come to mind but I can't remember their names off the top of my head...

One was a slut hotel and around Update 1.6, it fell apart. It was two people making it, the programming got faulty, and it took 4 or 5 months for it to crash out. Top earner too.

The second was a monster sex farming game. Creator was on one page, the animator on another, and after a PUBLIC falling out, the animator made a second game based off the first.

Point being: Communication is key. You lose that and the failure cascade takes over from there.

its only been a little less then a month since replay this game fully to get most of the achievements and see the teachers content that i didnt see previously as well as meet the cow girl and the pages reached 61 more pages when theres no content added

im guessing its a bunch people crying about the release date not realizing theres a progress tracker in the first page to let people know when the next update is

kinda surpised people arent playing other games and just having this thread on there watch list and making pointless comments about the release date

i guess your happy about whats going to be the focus in this upcoming content me personally i just wish Eves content would come out sooner but i think that will be around 4-6 months until that happens im just glad i have other games i look forward to in the meantime

The only issue I have with the way the game is developed is the voting system for updates. It overly entitles patrons imo,and sorta monkeywrenches the story at times. If you look at patronage as a this-for-that exercise, inevitably you will be frustrated and cranked up. If you look at it as a reward system, well.... the satisfaction measurement has already been made.

I'm a Patreon supporter of half a dozen creators, most outside the h-game world (one of whom is a personal friend). I think it's kinda fucked up to regard that support in a "DANCE FOR ME, MONKEY" fashion. Is the $5 a month I give to this or that guy going to production? Maybe. Probably. I don't care. That's not why they're getting $5 a month from me. Imo the creator is going to create with or without my contribution. They're not my employee, they're not delivering a work-for-hire. I have no ownership stake in this product, I'm not a shareholder in Kompass Productiobs LLC. I'm a fan. That's why they get my $$. I'm contributing based on what they've delivered, not what they're promising.

becuz unlike when DC noticed that if he didnt close some options during each poll(the said option for another update on content like Diane Debbie and Jenny so he could work on other contents like the teachers upate)he didnt pulled this shit anymore,and brought another option totally unrelated with any fixing the old code(which was Eve's update,since her content is almost like Judith,almost null),to make this worse,that is the part where the biggest con from SS shine,when he opens the option without really letting the option more important right now as the ones avaiable in the poll,he risks happening the same shit everytime,and i say that becuz all the time the patrons get a vote for something they just prove they are shitting about geting the game easier to work with and faster to conclude....as i said before,i stopped funding SS becuz of that,i do not try to make people give up on funding him,i just dont do it anymore,and justify why...

oh i remember the farming one,but people who like DC should be happy that the development of that one failed,its one of the biggest reasons why DC have so much patrons right now,that game practically made tons of people start playing it even without liking"furries"at begining,and the game itself delivered something which opened the doors to cute or friendly styled...

i know they are impatient i played this game a little less then a month and it already jumped to 61 additional pages since i visited a couple hours ago

the only problem i have with this game is that Eves content was probably suppose to happen in this upcoming update based on a poll that was showed during Roxxys content

but i guess thats changed due to paterons wanting more Sister content or it could because Dark cookie got some shit on his Discord because people didnt know what rape looks like

they thought the main character was raping the sister in her sleep when she was leading him on

the only thing that can classify as probably rape is when she gave him a foot job and then he jumped on her or the bathroom scene but both times shes was teasing his third leg so she had it coming

im guessing this is why the sisters content is this update and not Eves

there is however,one of the biggest details who helped Eve to get picked this time,he mentioned the possibility of a threesome between her,the mC and her sister(which DC said at time,he was unsure about getting the chance of puttting it since if Eve is related,it is tagged as incest and flagged on patreon policy),that alone made most of the people who make the core of the game(the public with a soft spot for incest)lend their hand in the Eve's fans cause...
