No, he clearly didn't.dude just said that old art looked more real to him in a throwaway comment.
No, his statement is pretty clear in what it says.That could mean a lot of things, from the way breasts were drawn, to shading, to line structure.
It may not be what he meant, but that's his problem for writing a non-ambiguous statement.
