Well, at least it took them 2 updates to blow it, which is way more than what I expected
Trash ass update, embarrasing even for DC standards.Embarrassing update.
A refund for what? A game that is offered for free by the developer?DarkCookie would only need to be reported! It's never clear, he's been scamming people for years! Collecting signatures? I hope the last update is a Pre-Release, at which point I will not only ask for a refund, but I will send a big report.
Wich scenes are you speaking about ?So much people are disappointed in the update but scammer cookie already announced that this update was going to be just UI and 2 Debbie scenes that are remasters (which is low effort).
Probably these ones.Wich scenes are you speaking about ?
Thx
The problem is that you have people on here treating it as a 'pay for the product' thing instead of just donating him. Sure, you can argue that the process of making the game is tied to said donations, and that development would likely stop if they halted now, but the fine print is still very much 'you donate him in his creative endeavour which has absono ETA of being finished'. Anyone who still wants to donate and does so, and the people frustrated by that very fact (and getting angry on their behalf like some soy eating SJWs) will just have to deal with it. Or just walk away, that is always an option. You make a valid point. Patreon contributions are entirely voluntary, and fans choosing to support the developer are doing so knowing full well that the game is offered for free. It's all about personal choice—people are free to support or withdraw support if they feel the development process doesn't meet their expectations.
It's also important to remember that crowdfunding, especially in creative projects like game development, is often unpredictable. Just like tipping a busker, as you said, you're not paying for a guaranteed final product on a set timeline—you're supporting the creator and their process. And in the case of Summertime Saga, it's clear that the developer hasn't promised anything beyond what they lay out on their Patreon.
In any case, if people aren't satisfied, they have the option to stop supporting. The real key is transparency, and from what I've seen, the dev has been clear about the nature of the project.
Bro, why even bother.
So this is what we got after 2 months.
