Finishes? As early as 2017, he's said there is no real "end" to Summertime Saga. There's always more to add.

Last fall he stated he would like to see 200, 300 NPCs for Anon to interact with. Just consider this "The Simpsons" of adult video games/VNs ...

2-300 NPCs? Sounds impossible unless using random generated ones even half of them are doing meaningful interactions, not some one-liner.

No, it doesn't sound impossible... Daunting, yes. Yes, they will probably have a variety of depth... But right now there are already about 100 NPCs:

44 of which have at least one lewd Cookie Jar scene in v0.20.16.

Also, it only confirms that this won't be "finished" or "completed" for many many years.

Underrail a incredible RPG ( that require a lot more work and skill than this game here ) was made by just one person in six years. And thats just one example. Clearly games can be finished and developed in a orderly and timely manner. DC is eather lazy , a scamer or a piss poor game developer ( in that case he shoud stick to drawing , not that he's that incredible of an artist) .

I assume that he will use all the available minutes
Edit: January's was released about 10:30PM EST
November's was released about 7:30PM EST
September's was released about 5:00PM EDT
July's was released sometime in the afternoon EDT
May's was released around 5:00PM EDT
(Yeah, I just looked it up. Thanks for piquing my curiosity.)

So maybe he will, maybe he won't. I dunno.

I do know that it says 1738343470221.png and ETA means Estimated Time of Arrival.

And that they have said "roughly" every two months ever since they announced this new update schedule (see #83,320).
I also didn't see anyone say jack when he released September's update "early" on the 27th, when the others had been on the last day of the month.

So maybe it comes today. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe on February 2nd... but only if the groundhog doesn't see its shadow.

You're comparing actual games to a pron game :D DC isn't a programmer.. he started making the game to learn some programming. Later on he managed to get some people to do coding for him. Got even a writer. I don't remember why they decided to remake the game(probably it was a spaghetti code after programmers changing). Anywho, the way his business model works is kinda weird. Technically the game is for free. He gets paid via patreon. Meaning it's donations, not kickstarter or whatever subscription. Basically he's getting paid for making the game, not for the game itself. Now think for a moment. Why would you rush to finish the game, if you get more money in the long run to prolong making it? Yeah, people would stop donating if you drag too long, but that clearly didn't happen yet. I guess he found a sweet spot between updates to last as long as possible. You say DC is lazy.. and who isn't? :D Why do you say he's not incredible? If it wasn't, the game wouldn't be as popular.. btw.. just because you see 1 style in the game, doesn't mean he can't draw different styles..

Absolute skill issue.

If DC isn't a programmer, why is he taking in almost a million bucks a year to make a game while not hiring a coder?
The game wouldn't exist without these donations, so they're obviously needed for the game to continue being made - like it's taken him 6 years to make this tech update and he still has about a year and a half left til he's done with these trickle updates every 2 months where he fails to put in them what he says he will, and that's WITH that nearly million dollar a year budget with no full time employees.

lol.. did you read at all? He's getting paid for making the game, the process.. not the product.. what's the incentive for him to finish? He's getting paid and he has no stress of timelines.. He would if people unsub, but nobody does. You might say he could put it on steam, he will, but why rush? He's getting paid. And do you really think anyone from STS team care about a forum talking shit about how it's taking forever? :D

I mean, why should he? Really? He doesn't really owe his patrons anything. The key lies within the donation part. The donation is a voluntary payment, not a compulsive one. So how much 'rights' do his patreons really have here? Apart from just stopping the donations. Which they don't do. So, your suggestion?

I personally suggest to let them pay, and enjoy the fruits of DCs labour free of charge. If he remakes his game it's no sweat off my back lol. But also don't come here to shit up everything because you got buyer's remorse for something you assumed worked differently.

Considering the only reason we started getting the 2 month update increments is cause the game got the abandoned tag on this forum, yes, I do think they care about people talking about their game here. This site is probably 75% if not more of how they get new people interested in their game lol.
