In my opinion to all this, the problem is pretty simple. This tech update has taken way too long, and quite frankly feels dragged out deliberately. And the main story was not really that investing or that good honestly so that’s why people don’t really care for it. It’s not like any of its been bad. But the main story was not really a good decision to go with in the long run. Since people clearly don’t really enjoy it that much.

As well, when people are complaining about the updates, my opinion as simple. These aren’t really updates. They are padding. They are just new scenes and mini stories to tide us over. With girls most don’t really care about or want to see more stuff with and this is honestly been an issue for a while.

The game has a bad habit of adding in a bunch of girls. No one asked for and then giving them a bunch of focus and content. Like seriously did anyone actually want these knock offs of trumps family? And did anyone want so much story with them? Their entire storyline is basically just one big meme about orange man bad, and wouldn’t it be fun to bang his daughter and wife. And mind you the entire Appeal And joke of the updates are super outdated now that we are way past that time period.

And this could’ve been fine if it didn’t take time and focus away from girls like Judith, who were there from the start of the game and have not been given even the remote amount of attention they deserve and honestly need.

I mean, let’s be real out something here. Girls like Odette and Grace are fun, but they really didn’t need more scenes. Especially Odette. Nobody dislikes her but it’s not like at the same time i think at least some of us feel she’s not really deserving of all this attention when she’s basically just a reference to Sam from Danny phantom if she wasn’t annoying and had big tits.

That’s why I call all of the padding. This is stuff with girls. No one really asked or voted for, and they’re just kind of thrown in for the sake of it. All of this should’ve been added, after the school girls, and the other characters establish early on were given plenty of content.

Sure, it’s something, but not what people really wanted or cared about. And for the past two years, this is basically what we’ve had to deal with. Padding, that feels dragged out.

So like "MC_pose_1", "MC_pose_2", etc.? That's psychotic unless you have a cheat sheet the size of a billboard, and probably explains why the code was such a mess.

I guess in Dogeek's defense that was mostly before the rig system, so even if he'd used descriptors they'd likely need re-labeling anyways.

Man....I like Eve's current design, don't get me wrong, but sometime I'd like to play a porn game where every girl isn't glammed up to the Max. The original, less-curvy, slightly more frumpy Eve is actually quite cute.

so, the next update is really gonna complete 1 year before release huh? i know people joked about it before but, is this it for the game? 1 year for a couple of scenes?

and yeah, i know its not only a couple, but still a full year. i remember when the game went multi month so there could be more content, but i also remember how the argument was, it was gonna do it so the game could have alot more stuff in it... and then the teachers update came and we got 4 sex scenes, 1 bj from one of the teachers, and i think a couple hjs.

so i get it giving it more time to deliver more stuff, but is this really it?

and is this next update finally make it beyond the pre-tech? or is 1 year the new normal?


i know people will read this as if im bashing the game, and i cant say im not, but im honestly curious as to the direction of the game. as, even though i was never a patron, i have played and looked foward to its content, but i've not touched it since, i belive the drumpf family update(i think it was called something like story 1 or 2).

so dont get me wrong, i do not want this game to fail. far from it, but when i look at games like 4 elements trainer, or love and sex: 2nd base, its kinda hard not to scratch my head in confusion why this one takes so long to deliver so little.

1 year? The tech-update has been under development for two and a half years and will apparently be completed in three years.

Maybe I misread (since English is not my mother tongue) but what do you mean by 1 year?

Checking content related details wouldn't have been a project manager's job anyway. A team of effectively 3-4 people (everbody but DC working part time) developing a renpy porn game really doesn't need a project manager, you may aswell just hire a competent coder - who knows what he's doing - instead. That's what people should be complaining about in hindsight. Back then, the updates were primarily limited by DC's abilitly to produce art, so it didn't really matter that much. Then again, Dogeek left right after the Eve update, so I guess they caught on after these 3 updates that he wasn't able to handle the new project properly, which then lead to him complaing about stress, etc.

Edit: Just to add, I'm not saying DC shouldn't have hired somebody to pre-plan the tech update and to help to clean the mess up. He certainly should have done that. But that's a different question to what happened before.

That's the bigger issue, DC doesn't have anyone coding full-time.
