Eh, just because a system works doesn't mean there isn't a way to improve on it.Bruh some of you guys are too invested
I'm telling you... People's heads get as big as mine. I have an excuse. I'm a gorramn caveman!Blueballs....I see blueballs everywhere...it was DC's plan all along..he played us all.

the joke repeats itself endlessly, until you find yourself not laughing from it anymore...
Just to add to this, I posted a while back about how other indie developers who aren't AAA have similar issues. People love to compare this to AAA titles (Bioware, Tecmo, etc) and ignore that this is a niche adult gaming industry and issues that are unique to it. Artists aren't just going to be hired, they have to be found and look for compatibility. And what's the point of compatibility when you can make money on your own stuff?I was originally editing my previous post but decided to make a dedicated one for that as well - I'm not above fetching some suggestions:
From what I remember, the game was basically only ever inteded with a certain end-budget (what was it, like 20k/month?) in mind and anything above that is pretty much gratitude and similar. Well, I'm just gonna go out on a limb here and assume that if the salary of the team is fixed and the costs are totally covered while also storing some cash for potentially harsh times or extra costs that the team might come across, why not add onto the team with potential funds that can be spared, but only where it actually matters:
For once - get a second coder back onto the team. I can already hear you shout "But Pr0man! Why a second coder and not an artist or animator or similar? That'll barely do anything to speed up the process." - Correct, the speed at which they'd work would only increase by a bit. But that isn't the entire point of doing that in the first place.
What if Dogeek catches a really bad sinus infection or worse things and at the very worst case has to be hospitalized? What if there ever is going to be a horrible event happening that causes him to drop out of the team? Then there'd be no dedicated programmer that would work on the game and someone else has to jump in and fiddle around with potentially unfamiliar code to make do, or the progress in its' entirety is going to come to a screeching halt. If there are two coders working in tandem on a project, they can pitch ideas on how to implement things, get familiar with the code the other person writes and if there ever is a severe case of the sniffles going around there'd at the very least be some small redundancy so someone who is primarely working on Art isn't required to jump in and spaghetti something up.
Not just that, but having such a big project with such a huge follower count rely on a single dedicated coder is asking for trouble later down the line. Anybody ever considered the mental pressure that is generally taken for granted in the development industries? I'm at this point honestly worried about Dogeek's mental well-being, with him being basically the sole coder in a project that has a fanbase that can turn absolutely toxic on a whim - case in point, some of the followers here and even I have been guilty of being extremely salty from time to time.
So, why not also get another animator to go after the same principle? The animators are outsourced and the animations commissioned - from what I could gather reading through the posts, they are commisioning AEHentai to do the animation bits and are also looking to get a second animator going in order to get the heavy workload sorted out. So they are aware that there's a bottleneck and that maybe a commissioned piece is not going to make it in time.
I'm not sure how commissions are handled and if there's a long-running contract for it or what the hoo ha, so I can't really form an opinion on that topic.
And the artists? Oh well - while it's true that people can copy artstyles to a certain degree, there's always gonna be differences that are noticable and have to be corrected, especially when it comes to characters. It would speed up the process in the long run after the initial phases, but then again, which artist would have a career mark as working on a (successful mind you) porn game in their portfolio for when they might wanna move onto a more "mainstream" project? On the other hand, I can _totally_ see a secondary artist drawing background graphics for the game, as the style is destinct enough to warrant a look, but not something that has to be the primary focus of the lead artist.
But hey, those are just my ideas and maybe I'm just talking out of my ass here.
EDIT: fixed some typos, probs not all of them.
EDIT 2: iirc, there were originally 2 coders on the project to begin with, so I fixed some wording to reflect that.
it is warned that you shouldnt mess with dex stat at least for now, since it makes part of sis story line,so yeah, you fucked up my friend, nothing we can do about it....start your game again if you want her route,or just give up on her on this gameplay....I used the "max stats" and now i can't give in the sis panties... how can i go on sis route? Is it lost? :c
I cant give up on her... i want her. lolit is warned that you shouldnt mess with dex stat at least for now, since it makes part of sis story line,so yeah, you fucked up my friend, nothing we can do about it....start your game again if you want her route,or just give up on her on this gameplay....
Just play with cheat mode and skip the minigame.I cant give up on her... i want her. lol
I didn't read this. Long time not playing. Ty, sir.
I was only beginning.
no problem bro,its basically one of the few things that screw beginners right away, thats why the game have the cheat mode,to avoid the use of console commands on parts that werent still concluded and could bug...i personally dont bother much about Jenny, she is by far the character that i like less in all the game, putting her on the sole position of the annoying bitch she used to share with Roxxy, she is basically one of the motives of having to farm money, and while Erik divides with her the position of high maintenance connections,i can at least have some good laughs from Erik's scenes...up until now i only advanced on her route to get the benefits of training your dex(or agi,i never memorize that one attribute) up to maximum(which is sadly required on some other routes, like Roxxy's,or in her route itself, since you can only break her blue balling attempts with the equivalent dex/agi)...maybe now,the Bitch Queen gets a little more likeable and we all get to apreciate her,but considering DC like's her that way,i wouldnt on any harsh changes...I cant give up on her... i want her. lol

I'd claim that without Patreon there would be no incentive to make games at all.Thats why I hate the whole Patreon Model. There is very little incentive for Devs who make big money to actually try and get the Updates out as fast as possible.
The incentive would be to get a job in the industry, become an artist professionally or to make your own games and sell them for cash. The economic process existed for thousands of years before Patreon and when our society is dust on the wind it will continue on uninterrupted.I'd claim that without Patreon there would be no incentive to make games at all.
Wow, without Patreon we would have never gotten such classics such as Super Mario or the Mega Man series - Thanks for birthing an industry Patreon. Careful with such statements though, made it sound so broad that people might misinterpret it.I'd claim that without Patreon there would be no incentive to make games at all.
I'm actually quite optimistic in general, just get tired of people spreading bullshit and being always negative here. There's enough flaws with SS/DC that you can make constructive criticisms about. without resorting to making things up.you're bein optimistic?who are you and what the heck you did to Ted?

Did you just compare a game where you fuck your family in great detail to Super Mario and Mega Man? Ya, all these adult Devs should just sell their games at Sears for Christmas lmao. But in all honesty, it has two sides to it and the whole "developing a game while getting patreon support" is a fine balancing act that needs to be managed.
Wow, and here I thought I only can take a statement out of context that badly.Did you just compare a game where you fuck your family in great detail to Super Mario and Mega Man? Admittedly I should have been more specific: Without Patreon there would be little to no incentive to make adult games.Wow, without Patreon we would have never gotten such classics such as Super Mario or the Mega Man series - Thanks for birthing an industry Patreon. you could try kickstarter, but i didnt really searched to see any try on there,so i can assume they must be even more upthight than patreon on that area...never tried to look there though, most of the times i looked there was to search for a new good rpg system, worth the investment...but yeah, patreon was really a nice start to most of the independent adult game producers,i even remember my first funding there, gabe was just starting LOQOO and i was itching for seein it done,so there was i,and there i am until now,Origins is almost wrapped up,and still i didnt got to seem SS concluded,oh well, maybe when the next LOQO get started DC will already wrapped up SSAdmittedly I should have been more specific: Without Patreon there would be little to no incentive to make adult games.
Did they exist before? Yes, but not on the scale seen since the rise of Patreon.
