That's basically what you get with most Patreon funded games that release monthly updates.
If the dates from the changelogs are true your statement stays wrong.
Fan boycotting much, eh? Lengetivity of work doesn't translate to efficiency, many devs livestream for additional promotion coverage to keep consumers interested in between updates. Though those livestreams are worthless for vast majority of the time if you watch him slowly creating generous scenes that don't wind up or are staff locked in updates at all. Besides, recent updates are a mockery of playerbase compared to when DC worked on SS independently back in 2016/2017.

played from the start but doing only jenny's story. is anyone else stuck at the part where jenny sends me to talk to cedric? i already did the miniquest to get cedric to the gym. but in the gym all he does is spot for me. there's not option to talk about jenny. can any one help?

Well, you can just use the savegame they provide? By now it even lets you choose your name and the new content will start right away.

Regarding the incest patch, I looked at v0.18.0 vs. v0.18.2 vs. 0.18.5 and at the patch itself to get an idea on how well it will still work.
The patch is largely designed as an interception mechanism for each and every line said by any character in normal dialogues or during cutscenes. If the patch contains a replacement for any intercepted line, then the replacement is shown instead of the original.

...- There are sufficiently many new/changed lines in v0.18.5 to ensure some of them will need to have their replacement lines added/updated in the patch
- It's difficult to determine if a line that was already replaced/patched in v0.18.0 has been modified in the slightest in v0.18.5 and so it needs to be updated in the patch. This search could be automated, though.
- Unless the replaced/patched lines are changed in the most minimal way possible (e.g. "Come and get"... in the example above) there is a high risk that a line could be said again later and the patch will turn it into something meaningless for the new context. For example if "For everything." is said more than once in the whole game, all occurrences beyond the first will also be replaced with "... better nephew." making them meaningless. The patching mechanism needs to be updated to at least keep replacements in sets for each character if more info about line's context can't be intercepted.
- The patch only covers lines said in cutscenes and normal dialogue. It doesn't replace text shown on menus/choices.

This is just plain false.
Japan, just like any other country, has religious nutjobs and other people influencing them just like we do in America or Europe.
We don't hear about them because Japan's language is very different from Romantic. Being there for close to a decade, along with Korea and Thailand, don't think they don't have a PTA board that's heavily suppressive of sexual themes and goes "for the children"
That's just not even close to accurate.

I don't want to start a discussion here, but from what I see there is a clear difference. In Japan, (nearly) everything can be shown as long as it's censored, while in the western world it's the other way round: everything can be shown uncensored as long as it's legal.
