Everysingle update of this game is awesome. At least for me.

That has literally nothing to do with it. Every time we're near an update for SS we tend to forget the previous updates. All of which reached this "We only have a few percent left!!!" stage and would still take a few weeks to get finished since the last few percent are primarily the testing phase and that phase could be easy or it could be an absolute mother fucking gong show. I'm not saying it won't be here within the month, but just jumping to "It's done! yayayayyayayayyayayayay soon soon soon TM" as y'all are doing is premature.

The thing is, last time I checked on the game was like a year ago and THEN the production of Eve began. I may be wrong, but I do remember it was months back. If it does take months for a single route... Well, wow.

OK guys, just for you again:

0.19.0: 98% complete as of October 12th 2019-> 4+ months for almost the release
0.18.5: June 4th 2019 (Jenny 2) -> 1 month
0.18.0: May 2nd 2019 (Jenny) -> 4.5 months
0.17.5: Dec 16th 2018 (Daisy) -> 1- month
0.17.0: Nov 23rd 2018 (Diane) -> 4 months
0.16.0: July 25th 2018 (Roxxy) -> 3+ months
0.15.1: April 15th 2018 (teachers) -> 4 months
0.14.5: December 19th 2017 (Debbie) -> 1.5 months
0.14.3: November 1st 2017 (Aqua) -> 0.5 months
0.14: October 13th 2017 (Mia) -> 2- months
0.13: August 21st 2017 (Erik)

To make it very clear: It's been about the same time for each major update, since over two years.

Based on what DC said on Patreon a little while ago, this is the largest update yet.

Since the scope is always increasing - every following update is "the largest update yet."

Didn't it actually now reach a point in which they discussed the possiblity of splitting the story update that is the next one on discord?

The last update was released in June and that's when he started working Eve's update. So it's basically 4 months by now and it'll again be something like ~4,5 (give or take some days) when the update drops. That's more or less the same amount of time 0.17 and 0.18 took, again give or take some weeks.

Else it's true that the updates take longer than before, but they are worth it. As you say, it's indeed basically a complete route/story and not just 1/2 or 1/3, like it was before, when he still released updates every 50 to 60 days. Next to that the quality did indeed improve across the board, be it art, animations, quest design, etc.

Yes, but I'd guess that only goes for the next main story update and not for the following character updates - at least as far as I see it. I mean, DC seems certainly aware that a good part of his base would like to see "more updates" per year and the main story seems to be a good opportunity. I'm sure they'll be able to find a good cliffhanger. That said, it's not like we'd get more content, it's just that it would be split differently.

I may be wrong but I think the last task is the bug testing/fix, so he still has a task to finish before that.

With each update the time for bug fixing also goes down, dogeek is trimming down the amount of BS he has to deal with AIs code.

I think the chance is 50/50. It's like flipping a coin the chance of getting either side is 50/50 but you can get heads 10 times in a row.
