Please tell me how waiting for 4-6 months to get an update with a shit ton of build up and exposition with a bare minimum of actual sex scenes, while adding new characters when older characters haven't even gotten their 1st update yet, can not be considered milking?

The game is going at a snail's pace, and that would be okay if he just added some more sex scenes in every update and held off introducing new characters. I honestly don't care for the "milking" stuff either but there is valid criticism to be had, and calling people whiners or cry babies makes you just as bad as those who say milker this, scammer that.

I mean, it's not like these things aren't known. I get that there are many who don't like DC's way of creating content and who would like to have a game that's focussed on a few characters with lots of sex scenes. BUT he's been doing it this way for more than 3 years and it's really fair to assume that those who actually give money to him voluntarily are kinda ok with the way things are going.

I mean, old characters like Debbie etc. simply lost their content polls and his patrons voted to work on the teach update instead of Ronda. So it's fine to disagree with the way the game is developed, but that really doesn't mean that it's milking. He's releasing the content he says he will. Sure, maybe often a bit slower than some would like, but in return the game is free and nobody has to pay a cent.

It's not like with other games where people may pledge to get early access and then have to pledge another and another month, because the release is delayed. These things simply can't happen here...

I'm just not sure what you really want from DC? Complaints like these basically read like "how dare you to develop the game you want and not the one I want?!" Sure, that's how everybody thinks secretly, but I'm not sure what these criticisms are supposed to change...

I never made a point about there being too much characters, I like having a diverse amount of characters and scenarios play out. What I don't like is that he drip feeds actual H-scenes and keeps adding new characters to also drip feed scenes from. Like I said, the game is as wide as an ocean and as deep as a puddle. I'm not gonna put my tinfoil hat on and jump to the conclusion that he does this on purpose and that this is purely a monetary scheme, but honestly it would make sense right?

And I don't want anything from DC, like I said I don't care about waiting or where the game is going anymore since I pretty much gave up on it after that fucking Diane "update". You also seem to misinterpret a lot of what I said but that's cool because I'm kinda tired of this debate already and I just can't be arsed to analyze your whole reply properly.

I have yet to see anyone but me share my take on this. Just because it's negative doesn't mean it's exactly the same as all the others. And why do you write off "complainers" as nobodies? I don't want to bang on about this, but how is there even a reasonable connection? Just because you want and expect depth, doesn't mean that everybody sees it that way. It's been clear from the start that girls will get their content when they win their poll and I don't see any reason, why anybody who only wants to see let's say Judith would give DC money until that happens. Sure, the game is very light on H scenes but that has been the case from day one and it's a problem with every other 2D game, especially once we are talking about real animations and not just a few static frames.

Sure, it's fine to talk about a few girls give or take here and there, but in essence the game is becoming excatly what DC promised it would be. Just read a few years back and see how many people complained that the game had no (main) story and claimed that it would never get one. Sure, DC could have ignored those and those who wanted the widescreeen to play on mobile and we'd have Ronda, Annie and Judith by now, but in the end there'll always be some who aren't happy right away. I just want to point out that all of these things were/are legitimate demands and not some some stuff really nobody wants. Unlike some other games the game really improved massively during these last years.

You're making this about something completely different. I don't say that DC is a scammer and withholds content or doesn't deliver on his promises. You're confusing milking with scamming, these are two different things. You keep talking about Patron votes and stuff, I don't care about any of that. I've been following this game for a long ass time, since 0.6 I think, I've even been a regular in his stream, so I know that the development cycle has pretty much always been like this. That doesn't mean I have to agree with waiting for a long time every update to get 2 to 3 scenes. Why do you think Roxxy's update is so highly regarded and praised? Because it had a lot of lewd content and scenes.

Again, DC can do whatever he likes and I don't really care about it all that much, how many times do I have to state this? But my main response that ignited this discussion was simply pointing out that people don't necessarily call him a milker just for the sake of bitching, although sometimes they do.

Scamming means deceiving someone. A scammer sells you something and then doesn't deliver it, or delivers something that's not as advertised or agreed upon. It's basically stealing. This is not what DC does.

Milking doesn't really have a definition and is more of a umbrella term. But I found this definition on google: "to take the largest possible profit from an item in the shortest amount of time without regard to the item’s long-range possibilities for sales".

So with Patreon's monthly income business model, you could argue that DC is milking his patrons by drip feeding H-scenes (which is what we're mainly here for, its an adult game) into releases that take quite long to release. Like I said before in my posts, I don't think he's milking necessarily, but it is a gripe I have with the development of the game and I can see why people would say he's milking, although they don't bring any arguments and it gets kinda annoying.

This is of course all just speculation and opinion based and it's better for me to just shut the fuck up and move on with my life, but this is what forums are for amirite.

Yeah, I have to admit that I sometimes forget how long it can take to make a single scene and most importantly implement it in the game properly with some context. So more scenes every update would definitely make the updates take even longer. I don't agree with that making more scenes is just winging it or half assing it though, and I think the vast majority actually does care about quality. But again, quality + quantity is gonna take a lot of time.

Maybe he could dedicate a development cycle to finished characters to add more scenes every now and then. You know, like adding more locations to have sex in or different stands, it could be implemented more easily. It's just a thought tho, the game will go the way it goes.

OK I guess I might have gotten your point -- at least I think you made clear are not calling him milker nor scammer. You just find the development speed too slow, and even though you want him adding more scenes you also know that this would slow down speed even more.

I can fully agree to all of that. I just want to mention that the game is free for everyone. So from my point of view, even if everything could be faster of course, I don't see how anyone could expect him to be obliged to adapt *his* game to something *he* does not want it to be, or his working style to something *he* does not want it to be. He can earn as much money as he can for all I care, I am happy with that. With what we get as well -- even if we could certainly get more, and faster.

Tech update probably revolves primarily around the code (with 101 of the 255 tasks being in code), and the code is about 25% complete based on the status tracker on their site after two months. Not that development can't accelerate later, especially if they've had people taking summer holidays, but at the current velocity we'd be looking at an update in Feb-March 2022. Seems like code is almost always the bottleneck too, no idea why they don't get more programmers.

that would be crazy but i can see it happening. i think most important is that dc will finish the tech update art so that he can start with rhonda. the coders are going to catch up eventually and if dc has already been working on rhonda art for 2 months, the waiting time between tech update and rhonda update might be shorter than usual. he could also use the additional time to really polish the dialogue and the story for her. i would root for rhonda to become the new fan favourite in the eyes of the fans just how it happened with with eve after her update dropped which had a lot to do with how quality the eve update was. eve wasn't really that popular before her update came out.

lol every scene ever needs to be reworked as well, hiring programmers won't help cause there's only DC drawing all the stuff and they can't work much without the art, art has always been the bottleneck for this game

You can look at the progress tracker on the website. It pretty clearly shows that the ones most behind right now are code and posing. Art, meanwhile, is 82% complete. I'm sure there's a lot of art work to be done, but right now it looks like posing and code are what are holding back the progress, not art.

of course art needs to be ahead, without the art there's not much to work on, do u seriously think if art had been completed by now we would be looking at the same progress for the other tasks lol
