The last pre-tech update came out in Feb, the expected next pre-tech update is another month or two away and the tech update is currently expected after that (at least another 3 or 4 months beyond), then it will take a couple months or more (3 or 4, most likely) before the currently planned R(h)onda update. As you can tell, on the short end, you're looking at 7 months -- on the long end 10 or more. (See #8 & #9)

Also, your observation of "slow updates" is more your personal perception than the fact. 3 to 4 months between updates, on average, aren't slow. And DC doesn't appear anywhere near "stressed AF" in his picarto streams, not does he appear to present the idea that anything is off-track.

For your other belief that "die-hard fans" have expressed frustration, sure - some have. However, it hasn't affected his subscriber numbers - he remains the number 1 adult game creator on patreon for subscriber numbers (almost twice that of the number 2). And his numbers have remained steady during this whole tech-update process.

Bro, did you even read my post properly? I meant six months after the tech update, not from now(okay, amittedly could've been clearer there). Also, I wasn't expressing my opinion about development time, I meant that's how others perceive it (as you can see by the constant milking posts). Like it or not, that's the rep he has. Lastly, he is off track. This update took far longer than he predicted. It should've been done months ago by his estimation.

6 months to what ? Every update is ~4 months since 2017. People have been moaning about everything since 2016. He never predicted something that actually arrived on time. Ever. Whatever he says is never 100% concrete. Since 2016. Any1 remotely following DC for more than 5 mins will never try to argue his time perception is nothing short of ultra fail

Take 5-6 dudes, make them code crap on top of each other for years, while trying to have a game function somehwat properly. Then figure out all that junk needs to be cleaned and optimised. Hire a new coder to redo most of everything made before him and "trim the fat" around said junk code. Then have him "future proof" the new stuff so that the game doesn't wanna die every 3 builds and no1 has to go back in there every year to check if the code won't implode upon itself the moment something new gets added (like a 5-6 choice branching per girl once we get to the dating routes). Might wanna add the complete rehaul of the entire art to 16:9 which needs to be re-posed and re-coded into the new baseline if you wanna add stuff to explain why it takes time

Yes, could have been clearer - because your opinion "There's no way he'll lets Rhonda's update take that long... I'd say six months max" gave no indication you meant after the tech update. Anyone new to the thread would think you mean by October at the latest for R(h)onda, not November at the earliest.

Nearly everything you stated in your post is an opinion and an interpretation from your perspective - not any foundation or statement of fact.

  • "even die-hard fans have expressed their frustration" (less fact and more lack of clarity and specificity - how many die-hard fans? 1? 10? 1%? 5%?)

You do realise that those progress trackers are just guesses right, when you work on a project it's hard to gauge exactly where you are in relation to the end, particularly when you are bug hunting and fixing mistakes.

According to the website's progress tracker, 4 changes in the past 24 hours.
Also, on 6 Apr 2022 it was at 69% of 302 tasks, today it is 70% of 304 tasks.

I don't think it's that bad and I don't think his personal schedule changed that much ... people have always criticized his realeases anyway. It's not like he himself is working on the tech stuff and in these last two years it became pretty clear that he doesn't really care about the money in detail, either. So he probably isn't bothered too much by the fact that the game has stagnated for two years when it comes to the money.

I know it sounds bad right now, but in the very, very long run this delay may even be somewhat beneficial, because right now he seems to be drawing stuff that else may never have been added, like some of these new sex scenes, the new lockers for June, the latinas, Missy & Becca, etc.

meh, i don't buy it, if there's this long long run he would have added those things later anyways it just meant we got them earlier than supposed to. If he delivered tech update in 4-5 months (like he said he would) we would have gotten tech, rhonda and close to annie update by now. I would take that over a year of random sex scenes for characters that already have sex scenes anyday.
