Split choices are great, because otherwise what is the point of trying different paths?
I wish you more luck and the bestI played the first versions of this game before patreon sensura, after sensura i got discouraged, mainly because here in brazil they didn't translate this game with the incest patch
Unless you are some how being forced to pay, how is it a scam for you? I don't understand people with attitudes like yours.Summerscam saga
What? Being "forced to pay" is called being mugged, I don't think you know what scam means.Unless you are some how being forced to pay, how is it a scam for you? I don't understand people with attitudes like yours.
It's not - "being mugged" is transferring of liquid and portable personal assets in possession from one person to another person usually under threat, or by the use, of physical force with no reciprocation of product or services in return. What? Way too many big words in a place where the common repsonse is "huehue 80k a month for over a year of nothing". Either stoop down to their level of brainpower and adopt their speech pattern or stay higher up and just laugh at themIt's not - "being mugged" is transferring of liquid and portable personal assets in possession from one person to another person usually under threat, or by the use, of physical force with no reciprocation of product or services in return.
Summertime Saga is currently offered by the developer at no charge. A person may decide to donate once or on a recurring basis to show their support of the developer's vision, plan, and goal but are under no obligation to do so in order to utilize the product available.
Since there is a free product offered in exchange for no amount of money - this is not a mugging.
A scam requires the transfer of valuable assets from one person in exchange for the receipt something of relatively equal value or consideration, but the other person never intended to honor the agreement of reciprocity.
Again, no one who decides to use Summertime Saga is being scammed because there is no requirement of transferring their valuable assets in the form of fees, duties, etc in order to do so.
Yes, I'm being pedantic because it appears that, for some, this is required.
This can be anything and nothing. DC talks in circles all the time, then changes is mind 3+ times per stream. Him talking about a release this soon after the last doesn't mean anything. It took them 2 months for batch 4, we're barely a month after that, even with +2 weeks, it's still early for batch 5. He'll also post some vague (and most of the time with no dates) "release window" on Patreon before anything major happensLast stream the creator hinted at a minor release coming the next week or two.
Oh! No I am being mugged, they are forcing me to pay 0 moneys for this how dare they, I'm reporting them to Interpol,Patreon Page said:0.20.14 DOWNLOAD LINKS (PUBLIC):

You put too much faith in peopleFolks, y'all are confused. itsyeboii called it "Summerscam Saga". gam2000 said that it's not a scam because no one is forced to pay for the game, and itsyeboii was trying to explain that he wasn't talking about being forced to pay. Being forced to pay is called "mugging", which is not what he was asserting. He correctly pointed out that a scam does not necessarily require forced payment. He doesn't think that anyone is being mugged. smh
With everyone now clear that no one is talking about mugging, we can address whether or not Summertime Saga is a scam. A scam is a misrepresentation. We can infer that he believes that those who have voluntarily made payments were fooled into doing so by an expectation that progress would be faster than it has been. DC had anticipated a much shorter timeline for the release of the Tech Update. Those who made payments to support the Tech Update may be disappointed and feel scammed. That's a legitimate opinion, and no one can tell you how to feel. If you feel scammed, I'm sorry that you feel that way.
As usual, complaining about it on F95Zone is pointless. Cancel your Patreon donation and explain why you're doing it in the exit interview.
I just see this as a reading fail on the part of everyone except for itsyeboii. If you want to keep the pointless conversation going, at least respond to the correct accusation: that Summertime Saga is a scam, not a mugging. You put too much faith in people
DC streams game stuff ~daily, the tracker means nothing. The other 5-6 dudes on the team work part-time and still did more stuff in the last year than what they did since the game launched 5 years ago. We can go at this for the next year and it'll be the same empty debateI've not been following this game as long as many of you lot. Maybe only a few months. I thought it was silly that people would be complaining about slow progress, like let the man work, right? Go away for a month and come back and you'll see the progress going quicker. Except..... that's exactly what I did. I decided to start following the progress to see it for myself and I swear his progress bar has gone up 1% in the last month.
On the other end of the scale there's a guy who posts hereYou must be registered to see the linksevery 1 to 2 weeks. He makes a lot of progress during these periods.
I feel like people are justified for complaining about the slow progress with development on this game.

Life is full of good ideas poorly executed.Well doesn't this beg the question, why have the tracker in the first place if it's not being updated? I dunno, just wanted to give my thoughts on it. I really REALLY like this game and want to see more content added to it so I can't help but get more into this whole thing.
You can get as technical with the definition of the term "mugged" as you want but it's not hard to see my point. Gam2000 implied scamming is being forced to pay for something, which it isn't at all. Definition wise "mugged" isn't either but it sure as hell is closer to correct and gets the point across. It's not - "being mugged" is transferring of liquid and portable personal assets in possession from one person to another person usually under threat, or by the use, of physical force with no reciprocation of product or services in return.

Look at you embracing your superiority complex in a thread about a porn game yet again. You're definitely on a higher level than these peasants. We wouldn't be anything without you being our intellectual and trusty thread janitor.Way too many big words in a place where the common repsonse is "huehue 80k a month for over a year of nothing". Except I didn't call it "Summerscam Saga", another user did. I do not hold these believes nor do I want to argue with those who do.Folks, y'all are confused. itsyeboii called it "Summerscam Saga". gam2000 replied that it's not a scam because no one is forced to pay for the game. itsyeboii rejected that incorrect definition of "scam", explaining that gam2000 was describing "being mugged". Count Morado then confirmed itsyeboii's definition of "being mugged". itsyeboii used the term, not to assert that anyone is being mugged, but to reject gam2000's incorrect definition of a "scam". smh

I used to be part of #2, I didn't spam the thread or say anything at all really, but I did see where some people where coming from when they accused DC of milking, granted they gave some decent arguments. Also, I have the feeling that somewhere between 99 and 100% of the people who complain about the $80k per month have not actually donated any money, so they're not feeling personally scammed, but feel that a bunch of other people have been scammed. The donors probably don't feel scammed if they continue to donate... but, who cares? If they're being scammed, that's their problem, not yours.
Other people donating money is only a problem for you if:
If #1, go work on yourself. Jealousy is a fruitless state of mind. Maybe try making your own game and see if it's as easy as you think.
- You're jealous
- You think that donations are actually slowing the pace of progress
#2 is the theory that a hungry artist works harder than one who is well fed. When the money is coming in, there's no incentive to work hard. If the tap gets turned off, you'll have to work harder to turn it back on again.
I suspect that, at this point, DC doesn't need to care about money. Also, turning off the tap might have the opposite effect. Instead of working harder to get the donations back, he lays off the coders and posers and writers and ends development of the game forever.
At any rate, there's nothing you can do to make other people stop donating. That is the point of complaining here, right? Milkers think that everyone here is donating money, and they can convince them that they're being scammed so that they'll stop donating. Except, people come here to not pay for games. This isn't the right forum to convince people to stop donating.
Besides the impossibility of saying or doing anything to turn off the tap, there's also the fact that this is just a game and not a matter of any great importance. So, as with #1, go work on yourself and stop spamming the thread.
