Apparently there were 6 changes in the last 24hr (tm) to the progress bar but both the total tasks and completed ones stayed the same, so what happened exactly?

Pretty much anything they do they log as a change even when it's not a task being completed so most days when you see one or two changes it's them logging changes from their morning meetings and other minor or vague things usually renaming, miscellaneous fixes or stuff involving character assets case in point the most recent change had to do with some of Jenny's arms which is a step towards completing a single task in this case reposing Jenny.
Only the developer would say that. Every 3 years we get some actually content for like 1 person, the so called updates everyone considers content, are actually 4month long bug fixes without content.
I hope I'm not the only one who would like to see more Missy scenes added

As far as ideas seem to go, she's going to get her own family/mini-event(s) in the future, just like Becca. Her house will be added with the tech update - the one with the pool next to Rump's.
I've no idea if that's still their plan, but back when I heard DC talking about it, Missy was supposed to have a (divorced?) rich dad who is some kind of lawyer or so and who is rarely at home.

The fact alone that you're using "expectations" as a talking point says enough. The dude asked a normal ass question, no reason to turn it into something it's not to satiate your need for defending the game.
