But then the tech build nulls your save and your grandchildren will come hunt you in your graveWould play the game again so my save remains, that way my grandchildren will have their own fun time
Ever ? Maybe, but like 2030 at earliest. And since he won't/can't put it on Steam while in dev and he doesn't care about the $, highly doubtfulAny chance of ever getting a steam release?
Not sure what your going by considering MULTIPLE games on Steam are still in development. MULTIPLE games on this site still in development are on steam. What's the difference between this and Love and Sex: Second Base a game that's on this site and also on Steam. But then the tech build nulls your save and your grandchildren will come hunt you in your grave

Read my post again : he doesn't care about the $, so why would he charge 20$+ for a free game you can get everywhere else ? Aside the braindead required, it makes no sense at all. And, again in my post, IF he ever does it (like when the game is finished), it won't be anywhere before ~10 years. But then it'd still be free everywhere else, so no reason to put it on Steam. Not sure what your going by considering MULTIPLE games on Steam are still in development. We should consider ourselves lucky. I remember when the penalty was ten days!Every time a person asks, another day gets added to the release date estimate. I think we're at May 17... 2049 by now.
Ya do realize there's free games on steam as well so that whole point is MOOT.Read my post again : he doesn't care about the $, so why would he charge 20$+ for a free game you can get everywhere else ? Other games that double/triple dip income can do whatever they want, doesn't need to make sense too
You could always ask the developer directly Monday through Friday when he is streaming on Picarto. This would answer your question and you would get it straight from the source, rather than the hearsay and conjecture of anyone on this site.Ya do realize there's free games on steam as well so that whole point is MOOT.
For those who don't want to reread all of these posts.Or if you don't want to go ask directly, use the search box for "steam" and find that your question has already been answered quite a few times in here (shocking! almost 7000 posts and a few of them are repeats?! almost as if that was what the search option was made for /sarc ) -- seems j4yj4m has had the most consistent rsponses:

Honestly wouldn't be any interference by Steam Patreon is most likely the ones to have the most interference. For those who don't want to reread all of these posts.
As far as I recall it, DC doesn't want to "sell" the game (so we'd be talking about a free release) and he certainly doesn't want any additional work and/or interference by steam. Having Patreon setting limits is bad enough...
So it's not like DC seems to be against it per se, he just doesn't seem to bother.
Then again, the added reach would very likely benefit the game finincially in the mid- to long run...
Dude, you can let it go. It's not happening, even if it makes no sense (to you)Honestly wouldn't be any interference by Steam Patreon is most likely the ones to have the most interference.
Man, it looks incredible, but the alpha blending is indeed bad, but its easy to fix it.I remade a lot of the in game sprites using Stable Diffusion. Is this something anyone else would be interested in seeing released as a full mod?
It was not the easiest thing because of the layered image system the game uses where images are stitched together, but i think the end result is alright.

why would he want to sell the game on steam when he is making 60K a month doing nothing. if tried to sell it on steam they would want him to finish the game or they would take it down. steam doesn't like milkers on their platform. For those who don't want to reread all of these posts.

Could go down the route of Telltale games? Release episodes to really milk the consumers! Speculation is pointless, nothing is going to change. He will still make a boat load of money, even if it is trending downwards. Obviously, this change hasn't seemed to affect his choices; he hasn't added staff, changed his distribution/funding scheme, or his choice to keep adding on to the modernization update. He is not going to work ahead on Rhona, albeit some art. You can wring your hands all you want, it isn't going to change. Let me repeat, not going to change.Could go down the route of Telltale games? 7 Days to Die has been in EA for nearly a decade now. I don't think Steam gives a shit if you finish your game.why would he want to sell the game on steam when he is making 60K a month doing nothing. if tried to sell it on steam they would want him to finish the game or they would take it down. steam doesn't like milkers on their platform.
