DC said at some point that act1 was already completed. so the obvious thing should have been to finish, and from there start with act 2. With the necessary updates not the mess it is now. Going from a bad coder to an exceptionally slow one is not exactly good management.In hindsight the best choice would have been to wrap up this game with that frankensteined code
I am sure they could have made it work long enough for that.
Then start on a sequel, I am struggling to see the 3-6 years effort is worth it. They could have wrapped up the game in a satisfying way by now.
This is some of the worse project management I have ever seen.
That he will never finish the project is less of a concern, I see it more like your favorite show on Netflix. As long as it is successful, there will be new episodes. He just uses a foundation to tell different stories, scenarios and their context. And as I said, the first story is already (probably) finished.
