0.16.1 is the bug fix version that was released for 0.16.0 earlier this week.
There are still some bugs in it but they don't seem to be affecting most players, and most of the game breaking/progression halting bugs were ironed out already.

It's a non-linear game. New content is not dependent on the old, for the most part. You can start Roxxy's plotline from the second day and onward.
By "loaded my save" do you mean a save from a previous version? Because they don't work. Never have.
