This release was a huge mistake...
Bullsitting people (and having hordes of paid "defenders") works fine with empty promises...
...but does not work when providing the promised work and it's subpar to the expectations.
And I doubt that any of his long term patrons, will be happy with this "tech update".
Not a patreon donor obviously...
The main story was already done. If he had just spent 1/2 of this time wrapping it up without some of the teased features, I feel like he would've had a much more positive response from people outside his hardcore followers.
That's fine and all. I'm just questioning the people who are SURPRISED that this happened. This was literally the only thing that could have happened when the tech update was first announced.
It doesn't take two years to code the introduction to a VN in Python.
It does if you have no work ethic and are getting paid regardless.
But it's not just the intro? It's the tech update. It's the infrastructure for all of the game's systems even if you can't see that on the surface.
