It probably wouldn't have, and I share your speculation on multiple restarts. I suspect the primary reason they haven't changed engines to something more friendly is because they'd be sacrificing easy Android support in the process. Since they've said in the past that a significant portion of their audience is mobile users and that removing the black bars on the phone screen was a major impetus for switching to widescreen, they're stuck trying to modify Ren'Py into something it was never designed for.

It's particularly concerning that they haven't closed a single coding task in nearly four months, even after splitting things up to reflect the current state of development. The tracker on

Username7, you maybe got a tracker update? Last month's progress report had coding doing some asinine stuff like reworking the Ren'Py dissolve effects, so I have a sinking feeling that DC has him off on side-quests in addition to being the de facto project manager for the posing crew.

Sorry about the late reply for whatever reason I didn't get notified you'd asked and I mostly ignore this dumpster fire of a thread unless I have something to report or there's a Patreon update. But as you can see from this month's progress report Stray once again spent yet another month ping ponging around doing whatever DC deemed more important. As far as the tracker goes for the last two months anything that has moved into the completed sections has moved so close to the progress report that its not really worth posting about it when it'll be in the Patreon write up in a few days anyway.

Yeah, there was character like that once. He got his fanbase and then fore some bizarre reason decided to halt any work on his lifetime project. He did some bizarre shit like small works for chidren, he did anything but his main work. And that shit lasted for years. You can predict how it all ended. He died without finishing his main project. I dunno what circle of hell he is enjoying now, but is seems DC is willing to repeat that feat.

20+ scenes and counting . By far the most of any girl. She'll reach 30 scenes at this rate before other neglected girls get some haha

To be fair, I don't think this warming up part was ever really meant to be part of her story, but because they added these choices which lead to nothing, it kinda feels like it should be. But at least in my mind, that role has been mostly occupied by Roxxy and probably by Ronda/Annie to some degree, too.

Just like so many other characters, a proper choice (or no choice) in her story would have been good. So you'd have a branch, where she's actually dominating MC and one where MC clearly has the upper hand and she's got the submissive part. I think especially the first part would be much closer to what her role in the game was supposed to be.

So yeah, especially in her case I don't really get why they never elaborated these parts. It's not like they'd really require a lot of additional art or such.

To be fair, there's a bit of history to it. Jenny's character was popular back when there was still incest in the game. As such she had a lot of content before the reworks started. She simply benefits from being one of the very first characters to get content and isn't necessarily the most popular one.

The comparison between her and Eve/the main story is actually kinda the point. Jenny's story is supposed to be pretty much done, just as those two you mentioned (and unlike others which are meant to be reworked) but it still feels somewhat incomplete in comparison.

I'm very aware that the game isn't supposed to elaborate fetishes in depth, but in Jenny's case it really feels unnecessarily shallow at times. Especially if you consider the choices, which in return hardly make a difference.

While there is a few, they are an extreme minority. It's common sense to always check your bank balance and look at what you've bought, so a huge majority of people do this. So most people who are patrons are knowingly spending money on him.

Even if you don't check your bank account a lot, you can know if you are still paying by reading your emails, or checking what current subscriptions you have.
