Same reason that the incest patch is fan-made rather than dev-supported. Patreon management aren't idiots, and they're not going to continue to sanction the development of a game that has a free version off-site that openly breaks the rules. Mr Dots got around this by moving all the Dating My Daughter material to SubscribeStar and locking it behind the paywall there, leaving only his non-incest games to remain on Patreon. Patreon probably isn't thrilled about it, but it gives them enough cover if shit goes south.
Remember, Patreon isn't doing this because they have some moral objection to incest, they're doing it because the payment processors are putting the screws to them. Nobody wants to be publicly outed or even implicated for financing something potentially illegal. You have only to look at the world of shit that

I think I said that this patch will be super underwhelming, but someone in dev team there said "Fuck you! Hold my beer!". Geez, that is not good at all. Imagine being 3 years supporter of this... Damn!
Apart for new art , new locations , new characters , some additional content and some new and rework scenes it's basically the same one.
Does anyone know what version was the last one before the Patreon changes? Obviously would be years old but no idea when the change happened

They haven't finished the game and already going remake, with less content
He removed the aunt ?! Probably to wipe any trace of incest. He will remove Eric's mom for sure then.He wont risk any problems with Patreon now that he is gearing for years and years of milking his supporters. And i don't see how the incest patch will be able to fix things , because it only changes dialog , not restoring whole portions of the game . Guess the promises of restoring the incest content once the game is "completed" were all lies.

8 years of developing this game to finally undo all the progression and development they made, it's now full of bugs, there's no audio, and story progression is locked etc...
