Yeah, it's glitched, they'll probably fix it in the next patch, but for now, it's fucked.

This is a known issue, the codebase is a hot mess and needs to be completely rewritten. There's no solution except to restart once the save gets bloated enough for this to happen.

I purposely stopped playing this game since v11, as it got quite buggy. Glad I came back and gave it another try. Good fun and content. Hope the save issue can be fixed soon.

restarted because the game glitched me out of erik's questline. now i'm apparently glitched out of finishing the mothers (debbie's) chain? at the point where i'm supposed to go into the bathroom when she's showering, the option refuses to show up. any suggestions, or is this just another busted playthrough?

why does it take so long for the updates?...is it just me or updates (proper ones, not xmass specials etc..) are taking longer...previous updates where taking less, bringing lots of relevant content, now looks less content and longer waiting periods. it does not help the fact I am a bit impatient.....please press on!!!, not to mention the bugs, everyone still finds bugs.

This is so weird to me. I just posted in the SidValentine/Cohabitation thread how I can't get anything to work past a certain point in the game, and I feel like I'm the only regular contributor in the thread that can't make that game work. (Which is weird, because I do not think it is a complicated game in the slightest.) Conversely, I come into the SS thread and see everyone talking about crashes and roadblocks and not getting minigames to work, and I'm like "I have never once had a problem playing this game". lol

Well, I have a few ideas: 1) the art is 2D, drawn by a single person, so it takes more time than 3D models available; 2) Recently, DC has spent many hours redrawing existing characters, improving their art. While I do love all improvements so far, redrawing something that exists instead of something anew slows down the development 3) the team has become more ambitious; every update has been bigger then the previously. Personally, if this continues, we'll have two updates per year plus one extra. I don't like this.

By the way, the pizza game's background doesn't scroll for me? This didn't use to be the case but started several updates ago (the teacher update) and hasn't been fixed since. And yet, no one else ever mentioned it, so I think I might be the only one? MC is basically standing in place on a road that doesn't move, "peddling past" trees that don't move, delivering pizzas to houses that are moving on their own, racing down the streets like Baba Yaga chicken huts.

is fixing the basketball minigame (being too fast on displays with high refresh rate), the pizza minigame (not moving road and background) *and* the do-not-look-at-the-statue-bug. All completely compatible to 0.17.5 savegames.

Plus several other things you might like.

Try it. Won't hurt and if you do not like it, just remove it.

From what I see, he has a very high quality standard. And I personally like that everything comes from the same hand. Of course, if one artist could be found who really can copy DC's style like he was him...

There are other options, like getting help for animations (DC drawing the key frames, in-betweens come from another source) or such. But on the other hand, maybe this is just the part which he wants to do himself for fun reasons

Given the scale of the game, I'd want sole control of as much as is reasonably possible. Anyone else can do posing and programming and whatnot, but the art is what gives the game its character in my opinion. That unique visual style is a huge part of the appeal, and I can totally understand him being jealous about protecting that.

Yeah, I don't blame him. Like you both said, it's his baby. And up until now, the money was rolling in, so as long as he can pay the team and himself, why change what works? That said, the Patreon patron growth seems to have plateaued, so they will probably have to be at least somewhat careful with their timelines going forward.

There is nothing special about his art that can't be duplicated or mimicked in order to speed up production, like is done on every comic and cartoon.
