It is amazing how this game didn't change while my life did. I finished my apprenticeship, married my gf, our son was born, soon he will do his first steps and the tech update will probably be on 86% at that point. It's like growing up with a good friend you always check on to see if he finally did the thing he promised to do years ago.

Same. I played this game in college, now married for 5 years and the game is still in working. Been checking this thread since then.

Other than a couple new backgrounds the tech update is all behind the scenes in the code. So when it finally drops and it appears there's no new content, the coping in this thread is going to reach astronomical levels.

The underlying issue is that the "game" is merely a vehicle for people to jack off to gifs. This isn't a program that anyone is particularly invested in working well when, at the end of the day, they just want more incredibly basic content (dialogue scenes) that leads to incredibly basic content (basic few-frame sex gifs). So yeah lol, people are going to absolutely lose their shit when the supposed tech update drops.

The irony is that DarkCookie could just thumb through old issues of Penthouse Forum and just adapt those into scenes every month while changing the "I never believed it would happen to me" guy into the MC and probably keep the fanbase incredibly happy. I guess the Oedipal boulder pushing of the tech update brings in more money though lol.

yes. you just need to put it in the game folder. If you are using a Mac, right click on "show package contents". Then navigate to "resources" them keep clicking until you see game. open it. Make Sure you don't move a short cut. You need to either move the actual file, or copy and paste it. More or less the same as windows. P.S. Ignore the haters. Let them suffer without you. I wish the admin or mods would put an option to put an "Abandoned Tag" on someone's profile that won't stop complaining for something they get for free. Like how on mine it says "Member", replace it with "Abandoned"; even though it is not.

DC is creating a cross generational game here. People will have had time to get married, have kids, possibly grand kids and live long enough for them all to get old enough to beat off to the same game they did.

Next tech update in 2027 that pauses content until 2031

You can't really compare the tech update tasks to those of previous updates since they're considerably larger. While a previous update would have single tasks represent individual scenes (e.g., "Pose Jenny Shower Scenes"), the tech update has entire character stories rolled into single tasks (e.g., "Pose Jenny's story"). They're supposed to be updating the progress bar soon to subdivide these tasks into component parts to give a more accurate picture of where the update stands, but in classic DC fashion they're taking their sweet time.

Well then people have no right to complain. They made the bed, now they must sleep on it. Man, no wonder the patrons of this game are defensive as a roman legion, they paid for it to be this way.

DC is still to blame. Brexit was a vote too. Dont let people make decissions about topics they clearly have no idea of. For them its a "2 weeks its done. graphics go brrrr then". Its unrealistic and idiotic. Dont do such decision options if you should know better.

Funny and true at the same time. Long story short on at least 66% of the comments section, "Haters going to Hate". Come to think about it, Have the complainers made a free VN like Dark Cookie? I can't imagine how to would feel making such a rather large VN project like DC is doing; possibly coming here and seeing all the hate. Literally creating every background, and things by hand? Yeah, he uses programs, but still. It kind of makes them look even more like a cry baby. If he sees this, “You gotta keep on keepin' on. Life's a garden: dig it. You gotta make it work for you.”
