Hopefully when the tech update is done (in like 10 years lol) all the art has been updated to the new style. I like that the game is in fullscreen now and that there's a few little extra scenes getting added in existing routes but it sucks how most of the quests and routes got taken out because of the revamp. I wish the tech update would have updated everything in one swoop but I guess the team is too busy grinding money. You know, I still love Summertime Saga and I believe it's still the gold standard for 2D erotic sandbox games but it's so frustrating how slowly the game progresses nowadays. Has anyone here been following the game from the beginning? If so, was the team this slow back in the early days too? I mean there is quite a lot of content in SS but it's also been out for like 9 years at this point so.

And click GO.

Then repeat, except this time enable email notification.
See if that clears up your problem.

What are you trying to play it on? Are all your drivers up to date? If it is a computer, are you using a recent OS? If you are trying to use mods, patches, packs - are you sure they are compatible with v21.0.0-wip.5605? If you are using mods, patches, packs - remove them all and try again. Does the game work?

If not, it might be a bad download --- delete the game and download directly from the developer for free at

If he was actually adding shit to the game I don't think the mood around here would be so dour. I took a look into the stream for the first time in a while and he's currently re-working Diane's art as it fits into Debbie's story, which would make this like the third or possibly fourth re-work that she's gotten during development.

Once he's done with the tech update in like three years he'll go back to Jenny and start all over again since he'll have grown to hate her existing art. For everyone who bitches about executive interference in games, this is what you get without a publisher cracking the whip: an artist who'd rather endlessly refine his work to some abstract notion of perfection rather than release something into the wild.

Leonardo da Vinci spent over a decade working on the Mona Lisa, and the only thing that stopped him from further refinement was because his hand became paralyzed a couple years before his death. It technically remains unfinished and was never delivered to the person who commissioned it. Food for thought.

I can see that you are a man of culture... a rarity in this site... especially when talking about Dark Cookie... who suffers from the same disease as Leonardo...

Info for people: This is just an introduction to the characters (basicly), you have 1 scene with nudity and one with partial. It's an Alpha version so you cant do much (3 minutes of gameplay at best). But the art is spot on and if the creator really grinds out updates and works seriously hard on this then it will be a great game.

People scoff at management positions in companies, but whip-crackers are very essential for getting shit done. The fact that virtually all Patreon and subscription-based "companies" are very loosely organized and lack those whip-crackers is why they're all stuck in perpetual development-rework mire.
I personally lost all hope that this kusoge will be ever finished 3 years ago already. Boggles my mind why it's still so popular. A motherfucking "tech re-work" took 2 years or something?? AN ENGINE REWORK IN MOTHERFUCKING REN'PY; AN ENGINE THAT'S ALREADY PRE-BUILT???

I bought a 21:9 screen laptop... I realised, that after the tech update, there must be another tech update! Otherwise I'll have to put up with black bars on the side while watching the content-free tech version, thats the problem the Tech-Update had to prevent. I can open the old version twice and fill the screen thats a workaround.
I hereby demand a pre-tech-techpretech version to 21:9 ratio! And less tech pre for techless Pre-Version as well as an engine rework based on standard Renpy to Renpy standards!

You can ask the same about the likes of BaDIK. The updates for that one take an retardedly long time as well, but it's seemingly popular.

As known before the last release in January, till Debbie for at least March's release. See the splash screen on the game's main menu for possible stuff after Debbie's route is "complete."
