Something on the order of 95% of posters ITT would be happier if they just locked the old version of the game away in their minds and just pretended the remake is actually a brand new game. Pretend you've never heard of it before, you don't know that anything is being reworked or reimagined. Just pick it up and follow it like a new title. YMMV of course, but that's what I'm doing. And as such, as a grown-ass sentient human male possessed of free will, I am choosing to not play this 'new' game until more of it is done. And it is remarkable how un-hurt my butt is as a result.

Then you should find something else to do to keep your mind off it. It's going to be quite awhile. Check back next year to see what the progress is then.

i see someone got heated of how we rant about DC
im not gonna comment anymore about how DC fools his worshipper. as i mentioned before those who defend and justify his action is probably his relatives or insideman acting as fan.

but to say all of us spent no money is going too far. i once supported him, but then i realize and opened my eye (not because financial reason). only blind people believe developing a game took 9 years especially with those amount of patrons.

don't waste your time. if will finish in time but definitely not in 2-3 years.

I guess delusion is a way to go with it, you don't need to cope or find any reason to like it though, if people like DC's work, his community or the game that's ok

I think it's a pity DC has limited himself to work on 1 game though, the guy had the potential to create a franchise but he just keeps trying to polish the same game

As a former supporter of DC and this game (I don't anymore due to financial reasons), do I sometimes wish this game kept being developed the original way? Sure. But I also have hopes that this rework turns out to be 100x better than the original. Based on what I've been reading, it sounds like there's very huge plans for the game moving forward, and the updates have become more consistent than they were before (real talk, there used to be huge gaps between updates, and that's just a fact), but now they're out on a regular basis.

That being said, I have not played this new rework yet. Maybe in a few more updates, or when more of the characters storylines are complete, I'll give it a try. Until then, I am perfectly happy replaying the old version (20.16) until then, because it's STILL GOOD. And there are also thousands of other games on this forum to play until then.

So yeah... That's my two cents.

The argument that try's to dismiss criticism of "oh they don't pay for it, so shut up" always makes the poster look like an ass.

Then when it is someone who pays for it they switch it up and go "well patreon means you're just supporting them, you aren't owed anything"

You don't like the criticism, tough, its not likes its not earned and as I've said a few times I hope people keep posting how much they make bank on people who've forgotten to cancel their subscription, I like to think prevents a few people from getting suckered into throwing their money away, take your money and support devs who actually put the work in, not this joke.

You do realize that every one of these observations applies to your comments in this thread, as well, right? That you gripe about it even though you're not paying for it, that your comments add nothing besides toxicity, etc.?

And you could always take your own advice and stop following this thread if you dislike it so much. After all, there are hundreds of other threads for you to read...

Hi guys. I was focused on following the instructions to activate the console, but I can no longer find the file 00console.rpy in the renpy/common directory. I only found .rpyc files. I'm using the tech version.
