hey, i have a problem, in my game rhonda never appears and im stuvk in the history of the game because i cannot work in the gym without rhonda helping me fist, so there is a fix for that problem ?

I even re starts from day 1 and rhonda hasn´t appear

How old are you approximately? Because I've been waiting for (almost) a whole decade myself since mid 2017 and you'll likely be in college (or working) by the time DarkCookie finally decides to wrap up with the release of new content onto this game. Most people on this thread have pretty much moved on given the significant lack of posts (except the few OG paypigs that are still hanging around on STS' Discord server). Although I do believe this so-called Tech Update will be fully released sometime around 2027 (as long as DC is able to deliver on time), so we're still one and a half year away (optimistically speaking) from observing any real progress.

One main reason was the frankensteined coding that was barely holding together v0.20.16. It wasn't able to withstand much more added content to it without it causing more problems than it already was. From #5 of my General FAQ #80,537:

Here's a breakdown on the original goals of the Tech Update... The game has been around since before 2016. In that time, there have been many coders with various levels of experience and training who have their fingerprints with their own ways of coding throughout in the nearly 10MB of written code and script/dialogue. The game was designed initially when the default and "gold standard" of using Ren'Py was the 4:3 aspect ratio for VNs. Since that time, mobile devices have increased their footing in VN playing. There are upwards 20,000 images in this game. All art that needed expanded was revised by DC. Since the aspect ratio changed that means that thousands of images need repositioned, "posed," into their proper positions.

Despite the aspect ratio and disabled roll-back for text, it's very enjoyable. I wonder if it was sheer luck, but honestly old build seems more stable than some recent ren'py games, as i have not encountered a single crash or game ruining glitches.

Hmm... I've seen this title numerous times and it was never a tale in my taste (I tried to play it couple times).

I've just noticed that actually dev is on top of NSFW Patreon's category with over 30k patreons and estimated 81-217k$ earnings monthly (!) yet it has just 405 reviews here with 3.5 stars average. My question is... wtf? With such big numbers it should be masterpiece yet it's far from it. Anyone may explain it to me in couple words? Why so many patreons and such big budget with so little in return?

Now it's even worse than before. He promises certain updates, for example the Debbie story line was promised to be finished in may, but it's not even half way there. And thats not even mentioning all the other storylines in the game which he hasnt even started yet. Hes just slow-rolling updating the game, because he realized that not working on the game will leave him bankrupt sooner than later.

most of his patreons probably forgot they are subscribed. he only talks to his dedicated discord and stream people who glaze him daily. if you mention his production slump and the speed of his progress, you are being ostracized or even banned, heck there are even guys in this thread that will trash you for bringing it up.

its because he wants to work on the game until he dies. He has no intention of completing it. He wants that summer time saga money forever, and he does not have it in him, to do another game. Very slow, low content updates for now and for the future.

i have no issue with him not completing it. For him not releasing anything for 2 years, returning to announce the tech update on which he hadnt started at that time was and still is ridiculous. And it is still not finished. not even half way there.

No one cares about a game not being finished. There are a lot of games out there who dont get finished like World of Warcraft. they are in a finished state, in where you can have roam and have fun but you still get decent updates. Even a game like GTA V gets updates to play for, which is in a finished state.

This game, as of 0.20.6, is somewhat in a finished state, and yet it clearly has a ton of areas and characters that havent been touched yet. Thats like playing Witcher 3, one area of the map is not accessible and when you try to enter it, a window pops up "this area is being worked on by developers" while it is part of the main story. This is called being unfinished.

the game is unfnished, doesnt get new content, and a stupid tech update is being slow rolled for cash. If i could, i would gladly send an email to all paying patreons to check their credit card invoices of payments they forgot to cancel. Im sure a handful are content supporting him, but im certain that most are just throwing 1$ at the guy, which accumulated over all followers is still a lot of money.

DC is like this streamer. If it's free anyway, he can release the game for free and people support him later.

and whats craziest of all, is that at his peak in 2019ish he was making like 110k a month on patreon, then he decided in 2020 that he was gonna con everybody with the "3 months at most" tech update .... now last i heard he is making about 30k a month, nothing to sneeze at, but he could be still making a mill a year if he just kept the updates rolling in a timely manner, right now they add like 3 scenes in 2 months, it close enough to be labled abandoned.

No, he was never making 110k on Patreon. Max he made was just over 80k. And no, he's likely making more than twice 30k right now.
